A/N: Alternative ending number 2.
This picks up after Dabi confessed to you at school, you hadn’t been to his house yet.
After Dabi had confessed his feelings for you at school you went home and mulled it over.
That wasn’t fair for him to dismiss you the night before, only to then confess basically the next day, and straight after Shouto and you had gotten together too mind you!
You were angry.
Should you go and confront Dabi and call him every name under the sun? Or should you go and clear this whole thing up with Shouto and tell him EVERYTHING. Starting at the very beginning….
“What if he breaks up with me over it? We only JUST got together!” You wailed internally, “all that effort for nothing.”
You sighed and rolled over in bed, staring at the wall.
“Nah, fuck this I gotta tell Shouto.” You thought as you got up and walked out into the hall.
“MUM!!” You shouted, “I’m going over to Shouto’s for a bit!”
“Uh, ok honey! What time will you be back? Should I hold off making dinner? Should we have steak again??” Your mum called in her nervous, overprotective mum voice.
“I’ll only be like… 30 minutes Mum, promise.” You sighed, “just need to tell Sho something.”
“Ok sweetheart, love you!” Your mum called.
“Mum I’m legit going two houses down.” You laughed. “Chill… god!?.” You whispered under your breath.
You walked slowly down to Shouto’s house, practicing what you were going to say, but nothing sounded good.
Dejectedly you knocked on his door and he answered.
“OH! I didn’t think I would be up so quick!” You panicked, thinking you had to say your piece right there and then.
You cleared your throat.
“SHO I BROKE YOUR PROJECT BY ACCIDENT AND DABI SAW ME AND HE’S BEEN BLACKMAILING ME AND MAKING ME BE HIS PET AND I WAS TOO SCARED TO TELL YOU AND PLEASE DON’T HATE ME I FEEL TERRIBLE..” you rambled on in a loud monotone voice, continuing on for another few minutes until you ran out of things to say.
Shouto just stood there, slightly wide eyed as you rambled on.
When you finally finished your spiel, you dropped your head in shame, waiting uncomfortably for his reply.
“Y/N,” he said, “you have worried about this enough, you have carried this enough, I think it’s time you let it go. I already know you broke the project.”
His warm arms embraced you and pulled you into him.
You had frozen at the last thing he had said.
“I already know you broke the project…” his words echoed in your head. “Wait… what?! WHAT?!” Your brain screeched.
“WHAT?!” You said out loud, pulling back from him and looking up into his eyes. “You knew?!” You said in disbelief.
He nodded. “I saw you heading up the stairs to the classroom so I followed you.”
“So you saw me trip and fall then.” You stated.
He nodded again.
“I was going to run in and ask if you were alright but then I saw what had happened and thought I would see if you would come to me and admit it.” He said in his calm monotone voice.
“I’m so sorry I left it so long, I thought you would hate me and I didn’t want that.”
“Let’s put it behind us now.” He said softly as he kissed the top of your head. “All is forgiven, it was an accident, don’t think about it any more.”
Tears of relief streamed down your face as you buried your face into his chest again and clutched a fistful of his shirt in hand.
“Thank you Sho,” you sobbed.
“It’s no problem.” He said as he kissed your head again. “I’m definitely going to teach Dabi a lesson for doing that to you though I didn’t know he had blackmailed you, I left before he ever arrived.” He said darkly. “Don’t worry, I’ll protect you from him… I…love you Y/N.”
“I love you too, Sho! I’m so so sorry!” You wailed.
He smiled and hugged you tight.
“Don’t worry anymore. It’s all over now and we’re together. That’s all that matters.” He said softly.
The next day you met Sho on the corner as usual, feeling as light as a feather, happy that there were no more secrets.
“Hey babe!” You chirped as you skipped up to your duel haired man. “Ready for school?”
“Definitely.” Shouto said with determination as he gave you a sly smile.
“What was with that look just now?” You asked suspiciously.
“Oh, no reason.” He replied nonchalantly as he took your hand in his and you both made your way to school.
As you got closer to the gates you saw Dabi and you smirked.
“Speak of the devil, can’t wait to tell him that I told you about the project thing.” You sneered.
“Y/N, I would like to talk to Dabi first, if you don’t mind?” Shouto asked in a low, respectful voice as his eyes narrowed at Dabi.
“Oh good morning pet.” Dabi called as you got near.
“GUESS WHAT!” You yelled loudly with a laugh. You were about to continue your sentence when Shouto cut in softly.
“Y/N, let me take it from here.” He said, his eyes still locked onto Dabi.
You looked across at him and saw how serious he was.
“Uh…sure.” You said as he let go of your hand and walked towards Dabi.
“Oh… oh no I think he’s gonna-.”
But before you could even finish your thought Shouto threw a well placed punch and copped Dabi in the jaw.
The ravenette stumbled backwards and tried to regain his footing but Shouto was on him again.
“YOU THINK YOU CAN BLACKMAIL MY GIRL AND GET AWAY WITH IT?!” Your duel haired hero hollered as he threw another punch and landing it squarely again.
“Oh my god! I didn’t know Shouto could fight?!”
“ALRIGHT MAN! ALRIGHT!” Dabi yelled, putting his arms up and stepping back again. “Fuck, you’re seriously out here throwing punches like that in broad daylight, geez, calm down.” The slimmer male seethed, reaching up to touch his lip that was bleeding. “Nice to see you standing up for your girl but seriously?”
Shouto stepped back but kept his icy cold stare on Dabi, not letting the ravenette even think of moving.
“Apologize to Y/N.” Shouto seethed through gritted teeth.
“Why the fuck do I need to apologize to h-.”
“DO IT!” Shouto shouted.
“Fuck? Alright dude.” Dabi sighed loudly with resignation.
“Sorry.” Dabi grunted, looking at you.
“I-it’s ok.” You said softly back, then you turned your attention on Shouto. “Babe, it’s ok, let it be now…”
“If you’re sure Y/N.” He asked in his serious monotone voice as he turned his head slightly to glance at you as you stood behind him a little way back.
“Yeah, yeah, positive.” You said nervously, “I didn’t know you were that serious Sho, don’t fight anymore it’s fine… people are watching you.” You added, glancing at the students around you.
Shouto turned and walked back to you, he had a very serious look in his eye and reflexively you started walking backwards, his mismatched eyes holding your gaze.
All of a sudden the wall was behind you and you bumped into it.
He placed his hands up above your head either side of you on the wall and your face flushed as he leaned in.
“You’re mine Y/N,” he rasped lowly, “I’ll fight to the death for you
“You’re mine Y/N,” he rasped lowly, “I’ll fight to the death for you.”
“I love you Y/N, I want the world to know.” He said seriously.
“I love you too, Sho.” You said with a flushed smile. “You’re my one and only.”
