You stormed off down the stairs, being careful not to fall because of your ankle.
“Who does he think he is?!” You thought angrily, “it’s not like I don’t like being his pet but maybe I wanna be like… I dunno… his girlfriend?”
You shook your head with angry embarrassment.
Deep in thought, you rounded the corner and smacked straight into someone.
“Fuck sorry!” You gasped as you stumbled backwards.
The person grabbed your wrist and pulled you against their body, wrapping you into a hug as their forehead rested 0n your shoulder.
“Come over to mine tonight.” The person said lowly.
Your eyes widened and you turned your head slightly to double check that it was who you thought it was.
It was Shouto.
“Sho?! Why all of a su-.”
“Please.” He said softly as he gripped onto you.
“Oh s-sure?” You replied, “are you ok?”
Shouto remained quiet for a bit as you gently patted his back reassuringly.
“I feel like we’re growing apart.” He said in his deep monotone voice. “I want to spend some time with you.”
“O-ok? That sounds good to me, what time did you want me to come over?” You asked as you pulled back at bit to look him in the eye.
“Just come home with me after school and… stay.” He said as his gorgeous mismatched eyes met yours.
Your heart fluttered as he still held you against himself.
“Ok.” You replied with a shaky, nervous smile.
That afternoon you walked home with Shouto.
You had so much going through your mind. Why was Shouto acting like this? He wasn’t usually like this? He was acting almost… Protective? Desperate for your company? You weren’t complaining but it just seemed odd.
Entering his house you called out a hello to his mum but there was no reply.
“She’s not going to be home until late.” Shouto said casually as he strolled past you towards the kitchen.
“So we’re alone together?!” You squealed internally, trying not to blush or overthink things as you followed him into the kitchen.
“Would you like a drink, Y/N?” Shouto asked as he opened the fridge.
“Just my usual.” You replied calmly, trying to channel your best ‘chill’ vibe as your walked over and jumped up on the bench.
Without thinking you used your sore leg to jump and you hissed as you landed on the bench.
“Careful Y/N.” Shouto chided as he quickly moved across to between your knees to steady you. “Are you ok?” He asked, sliding one hand down over your knee and down your leg to your ankle, raising it so he could check it.
“I’m fine.” You squealed as a heavy blush settled across your cheeks.
His eyes met yours and you coughed and looked away.
“Everything ok?” He asked again.
“Yeah, yeah, all good I’m just not used to you t-touching me… uh… like… that.” You stuttered.
“Does it bother you?” He asked in monotone curiosity.
“N-no, no not at all I mean, who wouldn’t want you to be touching their… ankle? Ok that came out weird.” You said with a ‘if I could die right now that would be great’ laugh.
“Let’s go watch some TV.” He said suddenly, letting go of your ankle and turning away to get your drinks. “Here.” He said as he turned back to you and held his hand out to you to help you off the bench.
You took his hand and jumped down, being careful not to land on your sore leg.
He led you to the lounge and you sat down, letting go of his hand to sit.
He passed you your drink and you thanked him as he walked over to the TV.
“The rerun of My Hero Academia is on.” He said as he flicked the TV on.
“Oo I love that show, what episode is it?” You asked as you cracked your can of drink open and took a sip.
“Midoriya has just saved Eri.” Shouto said as he walked back over to you and sat down on the lounge. “Here Y/N, pass me your ankle, you need to raise it.” He said as he motioned for you to put your legs up over his lap.
You nervously complied and he ran his hand mindlessly up and down your legs as you both watched the TV, casually leaning his chin down into the palm of his hand as he watched the screen.

Although your eyes were watching the screen your whole attention was on the fact that Shouto was rubbing your legs and your brain just screamed incoherent babble at you.
“Are you comfortable Y/N?” Shouto asked, his eyes not leaving the TV.
“100%!” You replied emphatically, looking across to his side profile.
“Good.” He replied, shooting you a side glance.
Your heart leapt into your throat and you looked back at the TV quickly.
“Y/N… there’s something I’ve been wanting to say to you.” Shouto commented softly as he looked over at you. “But I just haven’t gotten the chance to talk to you… and now that Dabi is….”
“Dabi?” You asked as you cocked your head, “what does Dabi have to do with this?”
The vibrating of your phone in your pocket drew your attention and you groaned.
“Sorry Sho gimme a sec…”
You pulled your phone out and looked at the caller.
“Oh it’s Mum!” You said as you pushed answer call. “Hey mum what’s up?” You said causally.
“Y/N, sweetheart are you ok? Where are you? You didn’t come home? Are you with Dani?” Your mum asked, throwing a million hurried questions at you in her usual worried voice.
“Mum, I’m fine, I’m at Sho’s house… who is Dani?” You asked with a laugh then realized who she was referring to. “Actually don’t worry about that, I know who Dani is.”
Sho kept glancing at you as you talked, still running his hand up and down your leg as he watched the TV.
“Sweetheart would you mind coming home please, we need to discuss your college applications, you’ll be finishing high school in a few short months.” Your Mum said.
You sighed. “Yeah ok, I’ll be there in a bit.”
“Thank you, see you soon, love you!” She said before hanging up.
You pulled your phone down from your ear and put the phone back in your pocket.
“I gotta go home, Mum wants to talk college stuff.” You said sadly as you took your legs off Shouto’s lap.
“Oh.” He said sadly as he stood up to help you up. “Let me walk you home.”
“I’m ok, thank you though.” You replied, “wait! You wanted to say something??”
Shouto shook his head, “another time Y/N, not now…”
“Ah? Ok then?” You said dubiously as you turned to leave.
