Dabi carried you all the way home and rang the doorbell.
“You can put me down and go now, thanks.” You said urgently. “Quick before my Mum comes out and thinks you’re my boyfriend!” You screamed internally.
You struggled to get down but he had a firm hold on you.
“Hello?” Your mum said as she answer the door. “Y/N? WHAT’S HAPPENED??” She gasped when she saw you in Dabi’s arms.
“I’m fine.” You grunted. “Put me down Dabi.”
He smirked and put you down as you had demanded. You winced the minute your ankle came in contact with the ground.
“Oh gosh you’re hurt, quick, ambulance, should I call the police as well??” Your mum panicked.
“No mum, calm down. I’m FINE.” You replied in a bored tone. You were used to your mum overreacting.
“See you Thursday.” Dabi said lowly from behind you as he put your bag down and turned to go.
“Wait!” Your mum called to him. “Are you my beautiful daughters boyfriend??” She asked hopefully, her eyes sparking pleadingly.
“NO MUM HE’S NOT.” You said loudly to her before turning and pointing a warning finger at Dabi. “NOT A WORD FROM YOU!” You shot.
He smirked. “Sure pet.” He replied.
“Oh what a sweet nickname, your boyfriend is lovely, Y/N.” Your mum gushed.
“NOT! MY BOYFRIEND!” You said loudly again.
“Thank you for taking care of my daughter!” Your mum called as Dabi walked off.
He held a hand up to wave as he left, not looking back as he strolled casually out of the gate.
You scowled and shook your head.
You stayed home the next day and the day after that, the doctor had sent you for scans and the results showed you had a decently sprained ankle but you would be fine in a few days, it was tightly bandaged for the time being.
You were lying on your bed one afternoon when your phone vibrated.
It was Dabi.
“Is my pet resting well?” He asked.
You smiled and shook your head.
“Yes idiot, like I have a choice?” You replied.
“Must I remind you who you’re talking to?” Dabi responded. “You will call me master.”
“Better than boyfriend, that’s for sure.” You sent back.
He didn’t reply.
You felt a little sad that the conversation had ended so soon.
“So uh… we still on for Thursday?” You asked. “Not like I care if we still go out or not.”
“Oh?” He replied. “How keen. What a good girl.”
“No you dick, I’m asking out of courtesy.” You replied.
“Sure pet,” he replied, “see you Thursday.”
You smiled and put your phone down.
Thursday morning you waited for Shouto at the corner and smiled when you saw him approaching.
“Are you feeling better Y/N?” He asked gently as he approached you, his gentle gaze falling to your still bandaged ankle.
“Getting there.” You replied with a smile.
You turned to walk and stumbled slightly but he caught you by the arm.
“Lean on me Y/N,” he said as he took your arm and linked it with his own.
“O-oh thank you Sho.” You said and his mismatched eyes shone with excitement.
As you entered the school grounds your eyes met with Dabi’s and you tried to let go of Shouto’s arm.
“I’m ok now Sho, thank you.” You said as you tried to unlink arms.
“No, let me help you to class at least.” He said as he held onto your arm.
“She said she was fine, Todoroki.” You heard Dabi say as he stepped into your and Shouto’s path, giving you a firm look before staring Shouto down.
There was an intense stare off between the two males and it was almost like fire shot between them.
“Man, talk about ‘so hot the flames have turned blue!'” You thought.
“Ohhhhkay I’m going now.” You said as you quickly pull your arm away from Shouto and stepped back, hobbling around Dabi quickly and heading for your locker.
Shouto waited till you were out of earshot, watching you go, before addressing Dabi.
“I’ve already told you to stay away from her.” Shouto said lowly, narrowing his eyes at Dabi.
“So you would have preferred if I let her get assaulted by those guys?” Dabi asked with rhetorical sarcasm, crossing his arms across his chest.
“What do you mean?” Shouto asked, his brows knitting slightly in confusion.
“Oh? So she hasn’t told you then?” Dabi jeered with a smirk. “She must not trust you.”
A vein popped on Shouto’s forehead slightly as he grit his teeth.
“She was being chased by some guys that wanted to do some… unsavory things to her.” Dabi said nonchalantly as he looked away with disinterest. “I saved her.” He added with a smirk as he glanced at Sho from the corner of his eye to see Shouto’s reaction.
Shouto scowled but couldn’t say anything back.
“You can leave it to me, boy, I’ll protect her.” Dabi said condescendingly as he turned and left.
Shouto stood there, anger etched into his fine features as fire burned in his eyes. He was livid.
That afternoon when you got home you hobbled to your room to get ready for going out with Dabi.
“What do I even wear?” You thought as you yanked clothes out of your wardrobe and drawers.
As if he read your mind you got a text from Dabi.
“Dress up pet, I don’t want you looking like a stray.”
“I’ll dress how I want to.” You replied curtly.
“Don’t bite your masters hand or I’ll be putting a collar and muzzle on you tonight.” He responded.
You blushed with flustered embarrassment and threw your phone onto the bed.
“How can he say things like that so casually?!” You thought as you marched to your wardrobe and pulled out some of your better outfits. “I mean… I’m not dressing up to impress him or anything… but I’ll put a little effort in…”
7:30pm rolled around and you heard the doorbell ring.
Your mum and dad were both working late that night so it was just you at home.
At the sound of the doorbell your heart stopped momentarily then started pounding.
“The fuck?” You thought as you grabbed at your chest and hobbled out of your room and down to the front door. “Why am I getting nervous?”
You pulled the door open and scowled to try and hide your nerves.
Dabi was there with one arm up against the doorframe, a very suggestive look in his eye.
“What would you have done if it was my mum that answered the door just now?” You asked smuggly when you saw the slightly provocative position he was holding.
“I knew it was you coming because I could hear you limping.” He replied dryly. “Ready?”
“Guess so.” You said with a shrug.
Dabi took his arm off the doorframe and grabbed your chin in his hand. “Shall I collar you now or later?” He asked lowly.
