Dabi marched down the corridor with hands in pockets and up the stairs, heading for the school rooftop.
Throwing the roof door open he stormed out into the bright sunlight.
“Having a good day?” A voice asked dryly from Dabi’s left.
Dabi’s head snapped towards the voice and his eyes met Tomura’s beady red eyes.
“Fuck off.” Dabi grunted.
“What’s happened?” Tomura asked in a dead tone, taking his arms off his knees and leaning back against the rails.
“My play toy has been ripped from my hands.” Dabi snarled angrily.
Tomura looked Dabi’s face over carefully before replying.
“You’ve caught feelings.” He said bluntly, staring Dabi down.
“I have not!” Dabi shot back, his turquoise eyes flashing with defiance as his best friend stared him down.
“You’ve forgotten just how well I know you.” Tomura sighed, looking away as if bored of Dabi’s charade. “You’d better tell her you like her before it’s too late.” He added.
“Listen crusty, I don’t like her, she’s just something fun to pass the time…” He said through gritted teeth.
“Just confess already, you sad stapler victim.” Tomura said with another heavy sigh as he got up. “I’m going now. See ya.”
Dabi scowled as he watched his best friend leave.
“Asshole.” He yelled at Tomura’s retreating form.
He received the most apathetic middle finger as a response. Tomura, not even bothering to look back at him as he headed to the stairs and left.
“I haven’t caught feelings for Y/N, that’s just crazy, I don’t care for romance, I wouldn’t fall for someone that easily.” He thought as he gripped onto the rail and looked out over the school yard.
“This is YOUR fault.” You growled at Dabi as the two of you cleaned up the homeroom as punishment for talking in class that morning.
“I could be home chillin in my room but NO I’m stuck here with you.”
“Come now, pet.” Dabi coo’d, “you love being in the same room with me.”
You clicked your tongue against your teeth and turned away, sweeping in the opposite direction of Dabi.
He waited. He had deliberately called you his pet to see if you would then tell him that you had confessed to Shouto that you were the one who broke his project and thus were no longer bound by his agreement, but you said nothing.
He picked up a chair and stacked it on top of another one.
“Did you do it?” He asked curtly.
“What?” You asked as you looked back at him.
“Did you do it? Did you tell him?” He asked again, looking away as he stacked more chairs.
“Dude, you’re gonna have to start at the beginning I have no idea what you’re talking about.” You deadpanned.
“Did you tell Todoroki that you fucked up his project!” Dabi shot, his angry gaze freezing you in place.
“W-what? No….” you said as you looked away with shame. “Couldn’t do it.” You mumbled, making some half assed sweeping strokes with the broom. “He handed in the replacement one he made and it didn’t get him very good marks so he got re-pissed all over again about the smashed project so I chickened out.”
A weight was lifted from Dabi’s shoulder and he smiled smuggly. “Ohhhh? My pet just couldn’t bring herself to leave her masters side?” He asked coyly.
You blushed heavily. “S-shut up, I-it’s not like that at all…”
You swept aggressively with your head down to hide your flustered state.
“I’m walking you home again today.” Dabi added casually.
“Over my dead body!” You shot back, your head snapping up to look at him, “you’re not walking me anywhere!”
Dabi calmly put the stack of chairs down that he was carrying and walked over to you, his hypnotic eyes drawing you in.
Without realizing it you backed slowly away from him as he approached, only realizing that you had moved when your back hit the classroom wall.
Dabi walked right over to you and placed his hands either side of your head on the wall, his body dangerously close to you and you turned your head to the side in defiance.
“Look at me Y/N.” His deep voice commanded.
You turned your head and looked up at him. That heat that had been gathering in your face suddenly rushing south, causing you to reflexively push your thighs together.
“How else will you get your exercise if I don’t walk you daily…” he said in a raspy low voice.
“Holy fuck…” you gasped internally, “has he always been this hot?”
Your eyes flicked from his left eye to right then took in his other features, including all his piercings… and ending on his lips.
Realizing you were staring at his lips you looked away quickly and pursed your lips together.
He chuckled deeply and stepped back.
“I’ll be back, then we’ll finish and go.” He said as he turned and walked out of the classroom.
You stood there breathing heavily for a few more minutes, allowing yourself a bit of a cool down after that… hot encounter.
“What is wrong with me?! Why is he making me feel this way?! It’s getting worse each time too! Fuck this, I’m out!”
You quickly grabbed the broom and started sweeping madly, finishing the last of the work you had assigned yourself then bolting our the door.
“I’m going home on my own! I’m not waiting for tits magee!”
You raced down to the locker room, grabbed your bag, changed shoes and ran for the door of the building.
“Did I make it out without being seen?”
You looked back at the school over your shoulder as you bolted out of the school gates.
“Am I ok?”
You glanced back again to double check that Dabi wasn’t following you.
“YES! I’M FREE!” You sung internally with relief as you ran.
You continued to tear down the street until the school building was out of sight then you slowed to a walk.
“I should be fine now…” You thought as you threw one last glance over your shoulder. “Man… but why do I feel like I’m getting turned on by him?! That doesn’t make any sense!”
You continued to mull over your feelings regarding Dabi as you walked home, muttering under your breath as you went.
You were so caught up in your thoughts that you didn’t notice 3 guys had stepped out from an alleyway, as you passed it, and were tailing you.
It was only when you felt someone grab your shoulder that you realized you weren’t alone and spun around with a gasp.
You were expecting Dabi.
When it wasn’t him you looked confused.
“Who are you?” You asked the guy, you face riddled with confusion.
