The following Monday you met Shouto for your walk to school.
He apologized about the weekend but you assured him you had a great time and that everything was fine between you two.
Hearing that was good enough for him at the moment.
“I might try and confess again soon… seeing as we’re still on good terms.” He thought.
You ignored Dabi as you and Shouto entered the school grounds and thankfully he didn’t try to talk to you or demand anything of you but he and Shouto met eyes intensely as they passed one another.
You took your seat in the homeroom class, your mind wandering back to the weekend you had spent with Shouto and you looked over to where he was seated.
You sighed dreamily.
Suddenly your phone vibrated and you put your hand on the outside of your pocket to feel it before reaching in and pulling it out.
You looked down and saw who the message was from.
“What the fuck does this guy want now…” You thought as you clicked on the message. “Dinner, this Thursday night. 7:30pm.”
Your face went bright red.
“HAAAAAAA?!” Dinner?! With Dabi?! I don’t think so!” You screamed internally. “What?!” You hissed, whipping your head to your left and staring threateningly across at Dabi who was smirking at you.
Suddenly your phone vibrated again and you looked down at his next message.
“Don’t pretend like you don’t want a dinner date with your master, pet.”
You almost squealed out loud in shock.
“What do you think you’re doing?!” You whisper screamed at him.
“Y/N!” The teacher’s voice said sharply from the front of the room. “PAY ATTENTION PLEASE… AND THAT GOES FOR YOU TOO DABI.”
“Oh fuck me dead…. really?!” You screamed internally at the teacher as you slunk down in your chair with embarrassment.
Shouto, upon hearing your name called, then Dabi’s, shot his head around to glare at the turquoise eyed, raven haired male.
Dabi smirked at Shouto then gave him a sly wink.
“Looks like I’ve upset your boyfriend by getting you in trouble.” Dabi said lowly, but loud enough for you to hear.
“H-h-He’s not my boyfriend!” You hissed.
“Y/N, DABI, YOU’RE BOTH STAYING BACK AFTER YOUR LAST CLASS TODAY TO CLEAN.” The teacher said loudly, upon hearing you two still talking.
“Yes sir.” You mumbled, staring at your hands in your lap.
“Yes, sir.” Dabi said confidently, “apologies for the interruption.”
“Fucking asshole, he probably planned this.” You seethed as you glared at him from the corner of your eye.
Shouto was staring daggers at Dabi who seemed to enjoy riling him up.
As homeroom ended you stood up to leave and Dabi caught your arm.
“Come.” He commanded lowly and you growled with annoyance but followed him out.
“Ok you’re really starting to piss me o-.”
Dabi turned you and backed you up against the wall, one arm up beside your head.
“I’m waiting on my answer, pet.” He said as he leaned his face close to yours.
“W-w-what?” You stammered, pushing your head back into the wall as his face nearer yours, butterflies infiltrating your stomach.
“Oh wait…” Dabi sneered. “You don’t actually have an option.” He added lowly as he leaned closer to you, leaning past your face to your ear. “I’ll see you Thursday… pet.” He breathed.
He pulled away and walked off, leaving you angry and flustered and covered in goosebumps.
“I’M GOING TO TELL HIM!” You suddenly snapped sharply, “I’M TELL SHO THE TRUTH THEN I DON’T HAVE TO MEET YOU THURSDAY!”
You crossed your arms and then uncrossed them, balling your fists by your side and storming off as Dabi watched you go, his heart sinking slightly.
You marched up the stairs, heading for classroom one.
“Sho?!” You called as you poked your head through the door.
“Todoroki got called to the teachers staff room just a while ago.” A classmate called to you, “he’s probably still there.”
“Ok, thanks!” You called back as you turned and speed-walked to the staff room.
Shouto was just leaving as you neared the door.
“Sho! Sho there’s something I need to tell you.” You said urgently as you approached him. “I… wait…are you ok?” You asked when you saw the expression on his face.
“Not now Y/N.” He said briskly as he got closer to you. “Not now.”
“What’s happened?” You asked with a concerned look on your face as you started to walk backwards with Shouto marching in front of you.
“I said, not now.” He said sharply as he pushed past you.
You stopped and your heart sank as you watched him walk past.
“What’s happened?” You thought sadly.
All through class you watched him, wondering what was wrong. At the end of class you waited until everyone had left and approached his desk. He still hadn’t moved.
“Sho?” You asked softly.
He looked up at you, clearly upset by something.
“What’s wrong?” You asked sympathetically.
“My project…” he said quietly.
“IT DIDN’T GET BROKEN AGAIN DID IT?” You gasped.
“No.” He said as he looked down, “I got a really bad mark.”
“Oh… ok well, it’s not that bad-.”
“IT IS BAD.” He shot, standing up and slamming his hands into the desk. “If I had handed my first one in….”
You hung your head.
“I can’t tell him now… he’s still upset about it.”
You stepped forward and reached for him over his desk, wrapping your arms around him.
“I’m sorry Sho,” you said sadly. “I’m really sorry.”
“Don’t be Y/N, you don’t have anything to apologize for.”
“Yeah I do actually.” You thought with a guilty grimace.
He stepped out and around the desk and wrapped his arms around you, pulling your body against his.
His arms were so strong and you felt safe as he held you against himself. You didn’t want this hug to end.
“Where is she?” Dabi thought when he didn’t see you come out of the classroom with the rest of the students.
Slowly he made his way back up to the room and stopped outside the door. He could hear your voice as he got closer and he paused.
“Is she talking to someone?”
“I’m sorry Sho, I’m really sorry.” He heard you say and he quickly glanced in through the door.
There you were, hugging Shouto over the desk.
His heart plummeted and he scowled angrily.
He stepped back, unnoticed by you and Sho.
“Fuck… she just told him about the project.” He thought malcontentedly, scowling as he balled his fist up and walked off. “There go my chances…”
