Dabi in this fic is possibly a little out of character. I have kept his cool, aloof, confident demeanor but instead of that villain side I have taken it out and put in a more dominant side that loves to play master and control someone, possibly turns a little yandere there??
You and Shouto (as I mentioned in the description) have grown up together so there’s a familiarness between you two. But I have tried to keep him as cannon as possible 😉
Y/n’s personality: Tsundere tendencies with some people but Deredere with others, stubborn, acts defiant but concedes easily, cheeky, queen of poor decision making, doles out little white lies like they’re breath mints, don’t need no man but certainly wants one. President of FML.
“Hey! That looks amazing!” You called to Shouto Todoroki as you skipped happily up to him. He was waiting on the corner, like usual, so you two could walk to school together.
Shouto was devilishly handsome, always had been as a kid but puberty had just hit him like a freight train and that striking duel hair colour and heterochromic eyes were enough to set anyone’s heart on fire.
“Thank you.” He said softly as he looked at his project with his gorgeous heterochromic eyes.
“That looks like it took a while to make?” You said as you got closer and looked it over, taking the time to glance at his beautiful face. “God I wish he would look at me the same way he is looking at his project just now… get yourself a man who looks at you like Sho is lookin’ at his project.”
“It did.” He replied, looking up at you. “I’ve been working on it for weeks.”
“And it shows!” You gushed, smiling at him as his eyes drew you in.
“Where’s yours?” He asked you, his gaze shifting from your left eye to your right eye.
Your heart skipped a beat as his gorgeous mismatched eyes drank you in and you quickly looked away to hide your slightly flustered state.
“A-at school.” You said, scratching your cheek nervously.
“Can I see it when we get there?” He asked in his usual monotone voice.
“Uh, sure!” You replied, clearing your throat as you motioned across the street, still not looking at him. “We uh, we should probably get going y’know?”
“Oh. Yes…” he said, his eyes still on you. “Sorry…”
“Why are you apologizing?” You asked with a nervously hollow laugh, “let’s go before we’re late for school.”
He just nodded and you spun around and bounced along beside him as you both crossed the street, making light conversation as you went.
“Fuck. This little crush is going to be the death of me I can’t even talk to him normally any more!” You sighed internally.
“Everything ok Y/N?” Shouto asked casually from beside you as you walked in silence for a bit.
“HUH?! WHAT? OH! Yes, fine, I’m fine, all good in da hood, yessiree.” You babbled, adding a low-key hysterical laugh on the end. “ACT NORMAL YOU IDIOT!”
“You seem a little distant.” He commented, his cool gaze burning a hole into the side of your face.
You dared not look at him for fear of lunging at his face and kissing him right there and then.
“Nah I’m good.” You replied flippantly, waving your hand and refusing eye contact.
“Ok.” He said, still gazing at you.
“SHOUTO, I SWEAR ON ALL MIGHTS THICK CHEEKS IF YOU DON’T STOP LOOKING AT ME RIGHT NOW I’M GOING TO-.”
“Umm… Y/N…” Shouto said softly, interrupting your internal screaming.
“Mmm?” You hummed in acknowledgement, glancing at him quickly before looking away.
“This weekend….” he said as he stared at his project. “Would you like t-.”
“Fuuuuuck it’s Dabi.” A voice moaned erotically from behind you and Shouto and you both jumped.
“The fuck?” You thought, looking back to give the girl the stink eye, “who the fuck moans in broad daylight?!”
“God, please may I be in the same class as him this year!” The same girl begged, looking up at the sky.
You looked ahead and spotted the ‘Dabi’ she was referring to.
School hottie, known by everyone, single as fuck but always had girls droppin’ panties. No one could understand why or how he didn’t have a girlfriend.
He was a bit of an unknown. Quiet, mysterious, aloof but had a very confident vibe about him. Whenever he spoke he rarely showed emotion and maybe that’s why girls found him so attractive, everyone wanted to be that girl who could make Dabi fall for them.
No one had succeeded yet.
You thought he was hot but you had your eyes on Shouto so he had never really crossed your radar but those turquoise eyes of Dabi’s were certainly breathtaking and although he was covered in scars, piercings and burn marks it only added to his enigmatic attractiveness.
You and Shouto passed Dabi and you glanced at the ravenette as you walked. He ignored your and Shouto’s existence.
“Oh! New class arrangement today for end of term 4! I totally forgot about that!” You said suddenly to the very nervously quiet Shouto.
Then you remembered he was about to say something to you.
“Oh! I’m sorry! You were saying something Sho?” You questioned, peering at his side profile.
You saw him clench his jaw and unclench.
“You ok?” You asked curiously.
“I’m fine.” He replied, “sorry, don’t mind what I said, it was nothing.”
He kept his head down, not looking at you.
“Uh…ok?” You resigned, walking with him towards the boards that had the new class arrangements hung up on them.
You closed your eyes and held your hands together in front of your face in a praying position.
“Dear mother of All Might.” You prayed. “Please, hear my plea, PLEASE PLEASE put me in the same class as Shouto!! PLEASE I BEG YOU!… AMEN.”
You opened your eyes and found your year, scanning the list quickly you found your name then went straight back to the top of the list and looked for Shouto’s name.
“Please… Please…” you begged, your brows getting more and more furrowed as you looked down the list and his name hadn’t come up yet.
You were about to lose hope when the last name on the list caught your eye.
“YES!” You screamed loudly, the people surrounding you jumping violently, including Shouto, who almost dropped his project.
