It was now Saturday morning and you were collecting everything together to head to the beach.
Mina had said it was gonna be just the girls so you were looking forward to a super fun time together.
“Sunnies, water, hat, sunscreen…..towel! Oh my god, let’s not forget THAT AGAIN, like we did last time, shall we?!” You mumbled as you shuddered at the memory of having to ask a random beach goer for a towel to use, then riding the bus back home with a wet ass.
You also packed a few snacks, overnight clothes, casual wear and then borrowed some money from your mum before leaving the house and walking to the bus stop.
It was the most absolutely perfect day for the beach and you were in high spirits. Mina had booked a beach house on the furthest end of the beach and you were all going to stay over night, then come back on the Sunday night.
After getting to the beach you jumped off the bus and texted Mina.
“Yo! I’m here!” You typed out before looking around.
“Hey! Come down to the chip shop!” She replied and you looked around for the shop. It was a well marked shop with the words ‘CHIP SHOP’ plastered over the top of the building doorway.
“Well…even I can tell that’s the shop.” You thought as you walked down the hill to the meeting spot.
You pushed the door open and spotted Mina, you waved and your eyes scanned the others who were with her.
Jirou.
“Yep, of course…it’s a given she would be here too.”
Kirishima.
“Ok…didn’t expect guys??? I thought it was just the girls but hey, he’s cool so all good.”
Kaminari.
“Another guy??? Okayyyyyy, hes cute and fun so no complaints.”
Bakugou Katsuki…
“KATSUKI?! Oh no, no, no, no, no! Fuuuuck, not him!!”
Your heart suddenly started to beat heavily and your footsteps faltered as you made your way towards the table.
Bakugou turned his head and his crimson red eyes met yours as you froze halfway across the room.
“Hey Y/N!” Mina called out.
Your terrified eyes met hers. “Biiiiiiitch, what have you doneeeeeee???!”
“Y/N.” Bakugou called out to you. “I need to talk to you.”
Your pounding heart only strengthened. “I know what he’s gonna ask, he’s gonna wanna talk about the kiss from before.”
He got up from the table and casually walked over to you, he was in shorts and a muscle shirt and his biceps bulged as he walked.
He was definitely a handsome looking guy and your heart skipped a beat.
“Mmhmm, ok.” You mumbled as he approached you.
“Let’s walk.” He said lowly as he stopped in front of you, looking down at you.
You leaned to the side and looked around him to Mina.
“I’ll, be back.” You said sheepishly to her.
Kaminari was already pretending to kiss his hand, giving you an exaggerated eyebrow wiggle as your eyes met his.
You covered your face with your hands in embarrassment and Bakugou looked back to see what had happened.
He only just caught sight of the tail end of Kaminari’s teasing.
“Knock it off, dunce face, or I’ll kill you.” Bakugou yelled to the electric blond.
Kaminari stopped immediately.
“Let’s go.” Bakugou said as he grabbed your hand and walked past you, half dragging you backwards as he walked.
You stumbled and spun around so you could catch up beside your fake boyfriend.
“Hey, hey! Why the rush, blond bomb threat?”
“It’s, Katsuki.” He growled, not looking at you.
“Not in the mood for games today?”
Bakugou led you outside and away from everyone over to a hill and sat down. You stood beside him for a bit before gingerly sitting down.
“So uh…what did you wanna talk about?” You asked hesitantly, yanking a blade of grass from the ground and fiddling with it.
“What happened in the equipment shed…” he stated.
It wasn’t a question, it was the subject title by the sounds of it.
“Uh, well, it was an obligatory fake girlfriend kiss on the cheek.” You said, running with his theme of having to do things because it’s obligatory.
This annoyed Bakugou and he scowled heavily. “That’s not fucking fair to kiss someone and call it obligatory.”
“Oh?! Isn’t it! Well that’s rich coming from you,” You replied sassily at him as your hand slammed into the ground. “It’s fine for you to be playing that card with me but you don’t like it when I pull the same card on you, hey?”
Bakugou just looked at you speechless.
“Go to hell, Katsuki, im don’t with being your fake girlfriend,” You snapped at him before getting up and marching off.
He didn’t know what to say, he had been thrown. This isn’t how he expected the talk to go at all.
He saw this as his chance to corner you into confessing to him so that he didn’t have to be the first to talk about his true feelings but so far this definitely hadn’t gone to plan!
You stormed back to the chip shop and threw the door open.
“Did you kiss him?!” Kaminari asked loudly when he saw you enter.
“Go to hell, the lot of you!” You seethed as you marched towards the table. “I came here for a good time, not to fight with Bakubitch and get teased by you guys.”
“I’m sorry babe.” Mina said, sympathetically, “we’ll stop.”
Kaminari apologized too and invited you to have some food.
Once you had calmed down a bit and conversation was flowing, Bakugou sauntered back in sheepishly. He sat down quietly, not talking to anyone and especially refusing to make eye contact with you.
After lunch you all headed out for a swim, your spirits boosted slightly from food and the thought of getting into the water.
You, Mina and Jirou set up the towels and beach umbrellas that Kirishima had bought then took your clothes off, revealing the swimmers underneath.
You hadn’t been self conscious about your outfit until you caught Bakugou checking you out and you scowled at him and he looked away quickly, walking down to the water- his back muscles rippling as he walked.
Secretly, you checked him out as he left and sighed. “Why are we always fighting?”
The day went well and Bakugou didn’t try to talk to you at all but you both would make eye contact occasionally when trying to check each other out sneakily, which caused bashfulness from the two of you.
