Take Down Chapter 10: Migata, step up to the plate, please

“I have ALWAYS wanted to be in an MLB224 fic and I’m finally here!” Shining hero sung as he sighed happily, looking out of the book and staring at you as you read this paragraph.

“Who is MLB224?” You asked him as he seemingly stared off into nowhere.

“Oh? She is just…” He said as he struck a pose, pointing his toe daintily as he held his position. “The most twonkliest!”

“Twonkliest?” You asked with the most bewildered look on your face.

“Twonkle.” He whispered again as he spun slowly, his arms held out to the side, his head tilted back so he could stare up into the ceiling.

“Riiiiiiiight.” You said with a raised eyebrow. “Ok well, I’m gonna be in my room if you need me.” You stated as you turned and walked away.

“Rest well!” Shining hero sung as you walked away.

“What the fuck was that all about?!” You  screamed internally. “I did actually want to see Le Million again, he was so happy and good looking.”

You went back into your room and spun around as you reached the bed, falling backwards onto it as you stared up at the ceiling.

*5 hours later*

“Ok so that’s what’s happened?” Hansu asked the computer hacker he had hired.

“Yep, pretty sure.” The guy replied dryly.

“So now what??” Hansu asked.

“Well the AI is now embedded, so the best way would be to go full dive and take them on in the game.” The hacker replied.

“We can’t just track Goha down in real life and disconnect them?” Hansu asked.

“Do you know where they are?” The hacker asked bluntly.

“No. But we could get the police and heroes involved to help locate them.” Hansu replied.

“What if you did both?” The hacker asked. “Send some of the top players after them in game and then send the police and heroes after them in real life.”

“Not a bad idea.” Hansu said as he rubbed his chin thoughtfully. “I’ll discuss it with, Y/N.”

Back home you were about to get up and go to the kitchen to get something to eat for lunch when your phone rang. You pounced on it quickly.

“Hansu! Get your ass back here and save me from the blond that’s singing French Riviera songs in my house!” You wailed into your phone when you answered it, after seeing it was Hansu on the other end.

“I have news regarding Goha.” Hansu announced, once again completely ignoring your statement.

“WHERE ARE THEY?!” You said with sharp apprehension.

“We don’t know.” Hansu replied frankly, “BUT, we now know why and how they are infecting all of your computers.”

“Ok? Go on?” You replied nervously.

“Goha has embedded themself into the internet with the altering of their encryptions.” Hansu said.

“I’m sorry, what?! Goha has copied themself into the internet??” You confirmed in disbelief.

“Yes. And the hacker I hired has located a pinpoint of Goha’s coding, they are in a game called Rapid Fate Online.” Hansu said, “have you heard of it?”

“Yes I have actually, but I haven’t played it.” You replied, “ok so, can we locate the top 6 players from RFO to help take Goha down from inside the game?” You asked.

“I’m one step ahead of you, professor, I had the same idea. I’m on my way over to your place now with a list of names that I’ve been given.” Hansu said. “Although I don’t want to interrupt your time with sexy cape man…”

“Shut up and get your ass here, NOW.” You growled into the receiver.

Hansu cackled deviously.

“Ok, I’ll be there soon.”

“OK, HURRY.” You said as you pulled your phone from your ear and hung up.

“Back so soon?” Shining hero sung as he opened the door for Hansu.

“Yes hero, I couldn’t get enough of your sparkle.” Hansu replied sarcastically.

The sarcasm was lost on the shining hero who took it as a compliment and giggled bashfully.

“Oh sir, you flatter me, but I do deserve it, yes.” He said as he struck another pose to show off his cape, looking over his shoulder to check himself out in the mirror nearby.

“This is what was supposed to be protecting me.” You whispered lowly to Hansu as you entered the hallway, gesturing to the shining hero as he remained completely absorbed in his reflection in the mirror.

“Did you die?” Hansu asked in a dead voice.

“Well… no?” You replied slowly.

“Then he’s done his job amazingly well, I’d say.” Hansu said briskly as he passed you, heading for the kitchen. “You coming? I have the names for you.” He called over his shoulder.

“Oo! Yes! I’m coming!” You said excitedly as you trotted after him.

“Ok sit.” He said as he spun and started pacing the kitchen slowly as he read the names out to you. “The number one ranked player currently in RFO is called ‘Butterfli3’.” He said as he walked to the end of the kitchen and spun around.

“Awesome, get him/her/them on the phone.” You said excitedly.

“No can do, compadre.” Hansu tutted. “We already tried tracking the player down and we can’t find out who he, she or they are.”

“Oh… ok… how about number 2 player?” You asked, slightly deflated.

“Number 2 player is named, Migata.” Hansu said as he strode past you.

“Wonderful, who is he/she/they?” You asked.

“We’re still tracking Migata down but if we can find them do you want them?” He asked as he reached the other end of the kitchen and spun.

“Definitely.” You replied.

“Ok so the other 4 players are O/N, sexyschoolgirl69, Kirito and Asuna.” He said.

“Should I put together a team? What do you think?” You asked as your eyes followed him back and forth.

“Depends on if we can track down the last 4 players.” Hansu mumbled to himself. “I’ll do my best to get them all together.”

“Ok great.” You said, “and as for finding Goha in real life?” You queried.

“Yeah, I’ll get the police and heroes on it.” Hansu said with a hand wave as he stared at the sheet of paper.

“Oh?” Shining hero commented from the doorway as he entered the kitchen flamboyantly. “I heard hero? Luckily for you both, I am indeed a hero, a handsome one at that.” He added, batting his long eyelashes for good measure.

“Have you been looking at yourself in the mirror that whole time?” You asked him in a bland voice.

“Oui?” He reponded, “it’s important to spend time each day affirming ones looks.”

You just looked from Shining hero to Hansu with a dead stare.

The next day Hansu came back to you with details of the 5 players from RFO that he had been commissioned by you to track down.

“Ok, we found Migata- his name is Mirio Togata, we contacted him and asked if he would be interested in helping and he said yes! He seemed excited when I mentioned your name.” Hansu said.

“Mirio?” You asked with a thoughtful look on your face. “I don’t think I know him?”
