Blissfully unaware, you and Kiri continued to Fatgum’s office, chatting and holding hands as you made it up to the front door. Kiri leaned in and gave you a quick kiss then heading off towards the town’s library to do some more research, leaving you to enter the building while Dabi waited from his hiding place down a nearby alley; his turquoise eyes watching you as he deliberated his next move.
“Hi, Tamaki-senpai.” You said happily as you entered the office and looked around, tail flicking in a relaxed manner. “Where’s Fatgum?”
“He’s out on patrol.” Tamaki replied as he got up and walked towards you. “A-are you feeling ok, Y/N?”
“Yes, I’m fine.” You replied with a gentle smile as he approached you with a meek look on his face.
“O-Oh, ok, I was just wondering, in case you needed me again?” He said softly.
“You’re so kind.” You said sympathetically, “but I’m ok, I promise, Kirishima and I have everything under control.” You said with a smile.
“I just wanted to say that I—.” He stalled, putting his hands into his pockets and pushing them down firmly as he scrunched his shoulders up to his ears. “I want to be the one to unlock the padlock of your curse.”
“Y-You do?” You asked with a little bit of surprise, “I know you said you were going to confess to me that day that you let me ‘feed’ off you so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, but I didn’t think you would be bold enough to voice your desires.” You added, “you’re so brave, Tamaki-senpai.”
He blushed and lowered his head, the shadow from his fringe covering his eyes.
“It’s all because of you.” He whispered, “I… I love you.”
You froze. “Kirishima was right!” You thought.
Your tail bristled with uncertainty and you panicked for a second, not knowing what to say in return because of your relationship with your redheaded man.
Suddenly the lights went out and everything shut down.
“What’s going on?” You asked, looking around, on high alert now.
“Power out?” Tamaki commented, raising his head and looking around as well.
“Where’s the fuse box?” You asked, turning towards the door, “I’ll go check the wires.”
“No.” Tamaki said quickly, stepping forward and grabbing your arm quickly to stop you in your tracks. “I’ll go. You stay here, I don’t want anything to happen to you.”
“You’re so kind, Tamaki-senpai.” You said gently, stepping back and standing still.
He nodded and let your arm go, heading to the door and closing it softly behind him as he made his way down stairs to the electrical box.
“Thought he’d never leave.” A cold voice said from behind you and you swung around to see a darkly cloaked figure standing by the open window.
“Who are you.” You demanded lowly, ears flattening back against your head in anger as the newcomer calmly took his glasses off and tucked them into his coat pocket.
“Dabi.” He said frankly.
“What do you want?” You asked, your brows furrowing and showing your displeasure as your tail whipped back and forth with obvious irritation.
“You.” He replied with a smug smirk, his dull turquoise eyes unwavering in their gaze as he approached you.
You arched up, ready for a fight.
“Oh no, kitty cat, you got me all wrong.” He purred in a malevolent voice. “I’m not here to fight.”
“What are you here for then?” You growled, backing back as he approached you.
“I’m here to make you mine.” He said with a sneer, lunging forward and grabbed your arm quickly then wrestling you back up against the wall and pinning you there by your wrists.[AUTHOR-CHAN IS OBSESSED WITH DABI KABEDON, PASS IT ON]
“Let me go before you lose your balls.” You snarled, canines on show as you bared your teeth.
“I heard about the little curse you received.” He commented candidly, completely ignoring your threat. “Thought I’d join in the fun.”
“Too bad for you that I’m not having an attack right now so you can’t do shit, and, if you kidnap me you can’t unlock multiple chains by yourself so your only option is to let me go and fuck off.” You growled, tail flicking viciously as your ears remained pinned to your head.
“Feisty. I like it.” Dabi deadpanned as he removed one hand from one of your wrists and gripped your jaw with it, activating his quirk a little to make your skin feel just that little bit too hot. “Didn’t want any more than to torture with the thought that I’d be the one to unlock that padlock.” He added as you grabbed for his hand that was on your jaw to try and wrestle free of his grip. “Imagine being mine forever, forced to love me because of a curse.” He continued, his stapled lips curling into a malicious smile. “Have fun thinking about that for the rest of the day.”
You hissed at him, fighting to get free now.
“I’ll see you when the time is right.” He stated, letting you go and stepping back quickly, “I’ll always be watching.”
“You’re deranged, you fucking bastard.” You snarled, tail bristling with fury.
“Call me, daddy.” He replied, smirking and unfazed as he backed back to the window then turned swiftly and jumped up onto the sill. “Will it be true love or pure distain?” He added, cackling manically as he jumped from the window.
“That line! That’s the final line in the curse!”
Suddenly the door beside you opened and you jumped violently as Tamaki re-entered the darkened office.
“The electricians are working on it, it looks like someone cut the— Y/N? Are you ok?” He asked with concern when he saw the state you were in.
“Me? Yes, I’m fine, why?”
“Your tail is all bushed up, like you’re angry?” He said, gesturing to your tail.
“Oh!” You yelped with surprise and relaxing it, “I’m ok, but, umm, I’m sorry, I have to go… something came up.”
“A-are you sure you’re o—.”
“Yes. Sorry, I’ll see you later.” You said hurriedly, dashing for the door. “I need to get to Kiri and tell him about this.” You thought as you took off running.
You scampered down the hall and took the stairs down, racing from the building towards the library.
At the library, Kirishima was having his own crisis.
“Once the padlock has been unlocked all the people who unlocked previous chain links will have their memory wiped. No one will remember what happened except for the person who had the curse, and the one who unlocked the padlock.”
His eyes travelled over the passage time and time again.
“I really do need to make sure that I’m the one who unlocks the padlock otherwise I won’t remember anything about this and won’t get Y/N for eternity.” He thought, closing the book and setting his face with determination.
