He was grinning from ear to ear with a peace sign up, Bakugou was scowling with his hands in his pockets and Todoroki was giving the camera a model type unfazed look as he adjusted his tie.
“Oh my god?! The modeling groomens of the century?”
You stared at the photo for far too long, so long that Mrs Midoriya had to speak to remind you that you were with her and out in public.
“Oh sorry,” you said, blinking your eyes to bring you back to the present, “I just got this picture from Izu, and the boys look amazing!”
You showed her the picture and she welled up, heavy tears sitting along her lower eyelid as she sniffed heavily and whispered Izuku’s name.
“Now I just need to think about which outfit will match theirs.”
“What about that one from ‘Say Yes’?” Mrs Midoriya offered.
“Actually,” you said, looking from the picture to her, “I can see that working!”
She looked up at you with tears still in her eyes and burst out crying.
This startled you and you jumped a little and looked around.
“Im sorry, did I say something wrong?” you asked her, trying to calm her crying.
“I’m just so happy!” she cried.
“Ok… ok, let’s go and see the outfit again, yes?” you said quickly, glancing around again and taking her with you back towards one of the shops that you had just been to earlier that day.
As you walked, you texted Deku back quickly and told him he looked amazing and that you thought you might have found the outfit that would be perfect for you that would also match, in style, to his and the boy’s suits.
He replied happily and you smiled to yourself.
“This is so much fun!”
……………………………
Later that afternoon, now back home and waiting for Deku to arrive, you sat in the middle of the bed with a giant grin on your face.
You heard the front door crack open as Deku arrived home and also a muffled bark from the back door.
“Oh! Kat! He actually made a noise? He’s been completely avoiding both Izu and I ever since I moved in really…”
You got up and walked out of the room.
“Y/N? Are you home?” Deku called happily as he closed the front door behind him.
“Yes, I’m here!” you called back, just as happily, “I just heard Kat at the back door so I was going to let him in.”
“I fed him this morning before work,” Deku said as he took his shoes off, “it can’t be because he’s hungry, he usually doesn’t want anything more to eat until around 8pm.”
You walked to the back door and pulled it open.
There was the angry ball of fluff standing there with a deep scowl on his fluffy little face as he glared up at you.
“Hey Kat,” you greeted with a smile.
He huffed through his little wet nose and looked away but stood firm.
“Did you want to come inside?” you asked him.
He gave you a side look then looked away and did a little boof noise into his throat.
You giggled.
“Why are you such a tsundere? Just be a normal little pup and be happy to see me and I’ll gladly let you in.”
He growled and whipped his head towards you.
Surprised but his sudden ferocity, you stepped back and he trotted into the house defiantly.
“This motherfu—,” You watched his little fluffy butt pitter patter off and around the corner.
“Oh, hey Kat!” Deku greeted brightly.
The angry ball of fluff growled something and you heard the little tap tap tap of his toenails head past Deku and into the lounge room.
You shook your head with a smirk and closed the back door then walked down the hall to find Deku and give him a proper greeting.
He smiled when he saw you and engulfed you in a big hug, kissing you like he hadn’t seen you in years and you returned his passionate contact.
As you pulled back from the kiss, you saw Kat watching from a distance, sitting on the lounge room floor with an unhappy look on his little furry face.
Deku followed your gaze to the small pup and then chuckled.
“Kat, don’t look like that,” he said.
The pup snuffed through his nose and turned away.
“I think he knows whats going on and is a little jealous that you haven’t included him in the wedding,” you whispered to Deku.
“Really?” he asked, looking at you with surprise.
You nodded. “What if we had him as the ring bearer on the day? We could tie a little pillow around his back or something? Or hang the rings off his collar?”
“I like that idea,” Deku said to you with smile, “should I ask him now?”
“I think you should?” you replied with a grin.
Deku stepped way from you and you stayed in the doorway to watch what would happen.
“Hey, Kat?” Deku asked as he approached the fluffball.
Kat looked back over his fluffy little shoulder and gave Deku a glare.
“I was wondering…” Deku mused as he got down in all fours on the ground, “you know how Y/N and I are getting married and all?”the pup looked at you then back to Deku and let out a little throaty growl and Deku sweat dropped. “It’s ok, you’re always going to be my number one.”
Kat deadpanned and you bit the inside of your cheek to stop from laughing. This dog really did understand what was being said.
“Well… anyway… would you like to be the ring bearer on the day? We need someone who is going to be an expert at carrying the ring,” he said brightly, lying down on his front and eyeballing his pup, “what do you say?”
Kat looked at him then threw his nose in the air then closed his eyes as he turned his head off to the side.
“Please, Kat?” Deku asked softly, “it would really mean the world to me if you were the ring bearer.”
Kat wagged his tail a little and Deku brightened.
“Is that a yes?” he asked hopefully.
Kat let out a little growl then wagged his little tail more and Deku gasped with excitement.
“You’re saying yes, aren’t you! Oh, thank you, Kat! I knew I could count on you to be plus ultra!” he reached out and pulled the little fluffball into his embrace in the floor and the pup growled to be let go after a few seconds.
Deku let him go and the pup trotted off down the hall and back out the back door flap, disappearing as quickly as he had come.
You chuckled as your man approached you and you hugged him again.
“I swear Kat knew,” you said as you embraced Deku, “I swear he came in just to get you to remember that he’s here and now that you asked him to be in the wedding party, he’s left again.”
