Deku made his way quickly to the office and rang your number.
No answer.
He rang again.
No answer.
“She’s in trouble. I know it.” He panicked as he put his phone down.
Grabbing the office phone he rang the receptionist. “Please, I need a list of all the hospitals in the city.” He said urgently.
“Yes, Deku, right away. Do you need me to call some of them to help you locate her quicker?” The receptionist asked, she knew exactly what he was aiming for by ringing the hospitals.
“Yes please.” He replied gratefully as he hung up.
“She said family emergency. If there is no one in the hospital under L/N, then I’ll locate her mum… failing that I’ll call in reinforcements.”
Just then the receptionist rang back. “Deku I’ll be in in a second with the list.” She said. “But in the meantime would you like me to try calling the L/N residence?”
“We’re on the same wavelength.” He said as he smiled lightly at the receptionist. “Yes please, and if you get through to anyone please notify me, I want to talk to them.”
The receptionist nodded and scurried out the room.
Deku’s fingers worked quickly, calling hospital after hospital but no one had been bought in under the L/N name.
Suddenly the receptionist appeared. “DEKU! LINE 2! It’s Y/N’s mother.”
Deku made a hurried apology to the hospital clerk he had just rung and hung up, quickly pressing the answer call button on line 2.
“Hello Mrs L/N! This is the hero Deku, I have been unable to get in touch with your daughter today, she told the receptionist here that there had been a family emergency?”
Your mum greeted Deku kindly. “I have been wanting to give you my congratulations and thanks for choosing my daughter and I know now is obviously the wrong time but it wouldn’t be right to ignore such a-.”
“Mrs L/N! I am so so sorry but I have concerns for Y/N! Is everything ok??” Deku asked, desperately trying to hide his rising panic.
“Yes Deku? There is no family emergency? I’m sorry I can’t help you there?”
Deku’s heart sank. “Now what?”
“Is my daughter ok?” Your mum suddenly asked, realizing that something was wrong now.
“Mrs L/N please don’t worry, I will find her immediately.” Deku said as he placed his fist firmly on the desk. “She means the world to me.” He added as anger flicked in his eyes. “I will bring her back.”
…………….
You made your way quickly to the address on the paper, confused, tired and upset from last nights interaction with Deku.
“What the heck is going on? Why all of a sudden these catastrophes?”
You found the address and it was at an apartment block. You rang the buzzer.
“Hello Dr _____’s office?” A voice said through the speaker.
“Umm hi my name is Y/N? I’m here to see my grandma?”
“Oh of course miss Y/N, please come up.” The voice said as the gate clicked open.
You thanked them and entered, heading inside the building and up to the apartment number you had been directed to.
You knocked on the door and a middle aged man opened the door. “Please come in miss Y/N.” He said politely and stepped aside for you to enter.
You entered and he closed the door behind you.
“Where is my grandma?” You asked, looking around the apartment that didn’t look ANYTHING like a doctors office at all.
“What is going on?” You asked him with a seriously confused look on your face.
“Please take a seat Y/N, she will be out shortly.” The man said, ignoring your questions.
You sat down on one of the chairs in the lounge and waited.
The man left the apartment.
“What the actual fuck is going on???”
………..
Deku changed into his hero outfit and rang his colleague, The hero: Shouto.
“Hi, Todoroki, I need your help. Y/N hasn’t shown up to work this morning and her story to the receptionist isn’t checking out. She won’t answer my calls and I’m concerned for her safety.
“Oh?” Todoroki replied. “Ok, I will be right over.”
“Thank you.” Deku said before hanging up.
The office phone rang and he picked it up. “Yes?” He asked.
“Deku, Shouto has just arrived to see you.”
“THAT WAS QUICK?!” Deku replied, thanking the receptionist and requesting she send Todoroki in, before hanging up.
Shouto opened the office door. “Deku?” He asked.
“Hi Todoroki, I nee-… are you ok?” Deku asked, tilting his head at the duel haired hero.
“Fine, why?” Todoroki replied.
“You called me Deku?” Deku said curiously. “You usually call me Midoriya.”
“Thought i’d switch it up?” Todoroki replied with a nonchalant shrug.
“Switch it up??? Todoroki has never said that phrase before??”
“Anyway, what were you saying…Midoriya?” Todoroki prompted.
“Oh! I fear Y/N is in danger.” Deku said. “We need to start a search.
“I know you love her and are always thinking the worst but what if she just decided to not come in today?” Todoroki asked.
“That doesn’t make any sense?” Deku said in bewilderment.
“Maybe she’s decided she doesn’t want to be with you any more and she doesn’t want to see you?” He added,
“B-but…why?!” Deku asked with knitted brows. “Todoroki you’re not making any sense?”
Deku studied Todoroki’s face for a moment and his eyes widened.
Activating his quirk he lunged to the office door and slammed it shut, turning to face Todoroki, his head lowered and anger filling his being.
“Who are you.” He said lowly, his glowing green eyes glued to the heterochromic eyed hero.
He crouched slightly, arms up, ready for a fight.
Todoroki stared at him a moment, appearing innocent, then a malicious smile spread across his face. “You got me, Deku.”
“WHO ARE YOU?” Deku demanded with a growl.
“Oh we’ve met before.” Todoroki replied as his features morphed.
Deku braced. “Name yourself!”
He watched as Todoroki slowly morphed into the villain: Multi-being.
“YOU!” He gasped. “WHERE IS Y/N?!”
Multi laughed viciously, “what? You think I’m just going to tell you where she is?? I don’t think so! She’s mine now, well…I’ll make her mine.” He cackled manically as he dissolved into a slime like substance and swiftly slid up the wall and out of the ceiling vent.
