That afternoon you meandered to the front gate after school, waiting for Kuroo and M/F to meet you there.
M/F was the first to arrive and greeted you happily.
“Sooo~.” She sung, “how was your day today?”
“Don’t even get me started.” You said with an eyeroll, “I don’t even know where to begin.”
“Bitch 1 and Bitch 2 causing trouble again?” She asked as she adjusted her school bag straps.
“Well yeah, but again, I fell into their trap so…” you said with a grimace.
“Yeah but that’s a given because you’re an idiot.” M/F stated bluntly.
“No one calls my girl an idiot.” Kuroo cut in as he approached you and M/F.
“Oh hey, boyfriend.” You greeted as you smiled up at him.
“How’s the weather down there, short stack?” He jeered playfully as he leaned an arm on the top of your head, “you make a good resting post.”
“Get off me, you beautiful bean pole.” You snapped playfully, swatting his arm off your head.
“Is that a compliment or an insult?” Kuroo asked with a chuckle as he lifted his arm off your head and wrapped it around your shoulders.
“If I didn’t know any better I’d actually think you two were dating.” M/F mused as she watched the interaction between you and Kuroo with amusement.
“Gotta play the part well.” Kuroo said with a wink as he removed his arm from your shoulder.
A part of you felt a little dejected at his reply to M/F but what he said was true, you two were only fake dating after all, you couldn’t expect that any real relationship would come from this.
“So you gonna tell me what happened today?” M/F asked you again as all three of you headed out of the gates.
“Uhhh…”
“Y/N and I are into kinky shit, apparently,” Kuroo said frankly as he looked over at M/F, “S&M, anal… that’s why she’s coming over to mine this afternoon so we can practice.”
You made an objectory noise that sounded like a seal had swallowed a kazoo and nearly face planted onto the pavement as one leg caught on the other.
“Beg pardon?!” M/F screeched.
“NO!” You finally got out, frantically waving your arms in protest.
“Y/N?!” M/F asked urgently.
Kuroo was cackling at this point, well and truly please with himself that he had metaphorically let a cat in amongst the pigeons as he clutched his stomach and doubled over with laughter.
“Stop it! You lanky fuckstick,” you yelled at Kuroo, smacking him repeatedly on the head to release some of the embarrassment, “stop telling people we’re gonna do that!”
“I have no idea what is going on?!” M/F screeched again, looking bewildered as fuck.
“I said some dumb shit and Liisa made a comment to Kuroo about it and now he keeps bringing it up and I’m going to die from embarrassment!” You wailed at M/F, still smacking the laughing Kuroo.
“God, you really are a terror.” M/F said to Kuroo, who was desperately trying to catch his breath and calm down.
“I can’t help it, she’s just so fun to rile up.” He laughed, wiping tears from his eyes.
“You’re an A-grade asshole.” You pouted, crossing your arms across your chest.
“I’m kidding, I’m kidding,” Kuroo said with a smile, “Y/N is coming to mine though so we can chill out, I just wanna get to know my girlfriend, y’know?” He said with a lopsided smile as he glanced at you.
“Why don’t you two just make it official already.” M/F said with a smirk at Kuroo.
“Now where would be the fun in that?” He asked with a chuckle.
You looked away to hide the dejection in your eyes.
“Ok, let’s move on now, M/F, how was your day?” You asked her as you all started walking again, heading for home and chatting lightly as you went.
All three of you walked to the crossroads, then M/F headed off down the road to her house and you and Kuroo headed to his place.
“Have you ever been over to a guy’s house before?” Kuroo asked you in a teasing way as he smirked at you.
“Pffft uh, yeah?” You lied, “I’m not that virgin.”
“Yeah you are.” Kuroo replied with a laugh, “you’re not very good at lying, Y/N, so I suggest you don’t even try to lie to me.”
You hung your head and sighed.
“Why are you even doing this for me, I’m such a loser.” You said despondently.
“Believe it or not a was a shy kid growing up, bit awkward and quiet around people, kept to myself…” He said matter of factly, “I see a lot of younger me, in you.”
“What?!” You said in surprise as you looked up at him, “you? Shy?”
“Yeah.” He chuckled, “I know what it’s like to not have friends.”
“Well… I have friends… they’re just bitches.” You replied with a weak smile.
“You calling me a bitch?” He asked cheekily.
“You saying you’re my friend?” You replied smartly.
“Yeah, I am. What are you gonna do about it?” He replied with a gentle smile as he pushed his fist into your arm softly. “You’re good fun, Y/N, don’t let it get you down.”
You gave him a small grateful smile.
“Thanks dude.” You replied softly, “you’re only half an asshole I guess.”
“Don’t speak too quickly, you don’t know me yet.” Kuroo teased with a lopsided smirk.
“Dummy.” You retorted, poking your tongue out at him.
…………………………….
“So this is my bedroom door.” Kuroo said as he pointed to his door. “It’s a boy’s door.”
“Can you stop?” You asked with a fake look of annoyance on your face, “I know what a door is.”
“Careful, you might climax just by stepping into a boy’s room.” He jeered as he opened his door.
“Oh, my god, Kuroo, seriously?” You chuckled with exasperation as you followed him in and looked around his room. “So you like volleyball?” You teased as your eyes roamed the posters on the wall.
“Nah, not at all.” He replied sarcastically as he walked over to his wardrobe and dropped his bag down, taking his black school vest off before unbuttoning his school top and sliding it off his shoulders, showing you his muscular bare back as the shirt dropped off.
“K-Kuroo?! S-Some warning, please?!” You squealed as you covered your eyes with your hands; embarrassed.
“Seriously?” He laughed as he turned to face you, shirtless.
He walked over to you and pulled your hands from your face; so you shut your eyes, scrunching them closed, tightly.
“Open your eyes, Y/N.” He said lowly.
Your heart started pounding.
