“Oh!” Your pa panted as he got to the top of the stairs, one hand on the rails as he steadied himself.
“You good, pa?” You asked when you saw he seemed to be struggling a little more than usual to catch his breath.
“All good, love.” He wheezed in a croaky voice, “still a spring chicken.”
You smiled sympathetically.
“Which spring, pa?” Kuroo asked cheekily as he popped his head from out of the bedroom door, “spring of 1930?”
Pa cackled loudly.
“Ah, you’re a good man, tit, good sense of humour.” He said as he straightened, “you’re close though! I have my 90th next month.”
“Well congratulations for next month.” Kuroo said with a smile, “I’m congratulating you now so you have to make it to next month.”
“Oh I plan to.” Pa said with a smile, “got too much to live for.”
“Pa is going to live till he’s 200, aren’t you, pa? We have an agreement.” You stated.
“Sure am, honey bunny!” Pa warbled, “now.” He punctuated. “I crossed the pacific to invite you both for a double date with Ms Marple and I this weekend, would you be available?”
“Ohhh.” You stalled nervously, looking back at Kuroo. “Kuroo has a game—.”
“Don’t worry, we can attend both events.” Kuroo said reassuringly, “my game will be done by 4pm.”
“You’re playing on the weekend?” Pa asked Kuroo excitedly, “I would love to be in attendance.”
“Come along!” Kuroo invited. “Would love to have you there.”
“May I bring, Ms Marple?” Your pa asked expectantly.
“Of course.” Kuroo said kindly, “bring anyone along.”
“This is going to be a fun weekend.” Pa said with happiness as he turned and went back downstairs again.
“Now… where were we?” Kuroo asked you slyly as he wrapped an arm around you from behind and dragged you back into your room.
“Noooo~.” You squealed playfully, allowing him to pull you back.
………………………………..
The next day was Friday and you had had such a big day that you hadn’t even had a chance to tell M/F about what happened between you and Kuroo.
That afternoon you were walking home together, chatting about something, when you suddenly remembered him.
“I kissed Kuroo.” You blurted out, “no wait, he kissed me.”
“I’m sorry, WHAT?!” She yelped, “you kissed?! Are you guys a couple now?! Oh my god! IT’S SAILING!”
“Can you not?”
“…Sailing the high seas!”
“Stop.”
“Ahoy me mateys!” She shouted, “all aboard the ultimate ship!”
“You’re an embarrassment.”
“May the ship forever sail, amen.”
“Amen, but stop. We kissed and we’re getting dinner with my pa and his girlfriend this Saturday night after Kuroo’s game so I think we’re dating? But we haven’t actually said that we’re boyfriend and girlfriend yet.” You said.
“You idiot, of course you’re dating!”
“No… I’ll check… he didn’t say ‘sike’ though so that’s good.”
“Ok, well good for you, I’m glad it’s official now. God. Took you two long enough.” M/F said with faux exasperation.
“But now what? What do I do with a boyfriend? How often do I feed him? Where’s the manual?” You joked dryly, “I’ve never had a boyfriend before.”
“Ok, it’s time we talked.” M/F said, “now, if you reach down between Kuroo’s legs and feel something hard—.”
“OK, STOP.” You yelled, “I don’t need the talk!”
“You sure?” She leered teasingly.
“I’m fine, I know how it all works.” You lied, “had plenty experience.”
“This is going to be interesting.” M/F chuckled.
……………………….
“Pa!” You called as you came down the stairs that Saturday, “you ready? We got the game to go to!”
“Ready, steady, SIT.” Pa called out, the sound of his backside hitting the lounge chair echoing through the house.
“You ok?” You asked as you rounded the corner.
“Just fine and dandy, love.” He said with a smile, his chest rising and falling rapidly.
“Don’t push yourself.” You warned, “I’ve noticed you seem out of breath lately?”
“That’s my lungs trying to run a marathon without me.” Pa joked, “I’m fine, I promise.” He reassured.
“Mmmmm.” You hummed suspiciously, not believing him, “ok, we need to get going so let’s hop to it.”
“Righty-o.” He warbled as he pushed himself up out of the chair and waddled over to you.
You took his arm and the two of you left the house togther and wandered down to the bus stop to go to the game centre.
It was a short ride and you helped pa off at the other end, walking slowly with him towards the stadium entry.
“Ahhh, there’s my girl!” Your pa called loudly when he spotted Ms Marple waiting off to the side for you both.
“Oh wow!” You gasped internally when you saw her.
She was a little younger looking than your grandpa but was still in her senior years; sporting bright red stiletto’s; leopard print tight short skirt; electric blue blouse- that was only just covering some very fake looking boobs; bright red lipstick to match the shoes; with big gold hoop earrings and blue eye shadow to top it off.
“You’re a stunner.” Pa complimented her as he let go of you to greet her, a passionate kiss ensuing between the two before your pa’s hand slid to her ass to give it a good squeeze. “It’s like that perfect soft peach that you can eat without your dentures in.” He commented- remarking about her ass.
You gagged and looked away, covering your mouth.
“Oh stop it.” Ms Marple chuckled gleefully, “you’re such a charmer, bunny. Oh, and this this must be your beautiful daughter.” She added, when she finally realized you were there.
“Granddaughter.” Pa corrected with a chuckle.
“Do I really look that old?” You deadpanned internally. “Hi.” You said, forcing a smile, “nice to meet you.”
“Oh same, deary.” She said flippantly, turning her attention back to your pa.
“Not sure if I really like this one?” You thought as you eyed her suspiciously.
After they chatted a little you interrupted them and directed them inside the building, keen to get a good seat so you could watch Kuroo play.
You bought the tickets and followed the markers to his court, easily getting a seat and sitting down.
Both teams had just come out and were warming up on court and you grinned as Kuroo looked up at you and shot you a sly smile.
After watching him a bit you looked across to the opposite team to see if there was anyone on the team that could be a problem for Nekoma.
No one stood out at that point but their captain- a very tall, built player with spiked grey hair and black highlights; seemed to be a very happy, bombastic type character, and loudly praised his team members as they warmed up.
“He seems like a good captain, keeping everyone’s spirits up.” You thought.
“Hey hey hey!” The captain called when Kuroo came close to the net, “let’s make this a good game, Kuroo-san!”
