“Hey, hold up.” Kuroo called after you, following you back to the house while your pa continued to threaten the trapped cat in the background.
“If you’re done catching ‘pussy’ then you’re free to go.” You called with embarrassment from over your shoulder.
“Still got one more to catch.” He said slyly with a half smirk.
You spun around to face him, a heavy scowl on your face.
“Listen, I’m done with this fake flirting, this fake dating, this fake everything.” You snapped, well and truly at your limits now.
“Let’s make it real then.” Kuroo commented with a grin.
“You’re just messing with me, like always.” You commented, crossing your arms across your chest.
“What if I wasn’t?” He remarked, placing a hand on his hip and popping it to the side- a stubborn display of sass.
You pursed your lips and turned around again, walking purposefully to the stairs with him hot on your tail.
He followed you all the way up to your room and strolled in behind you before passing you and flopping down onto your bed.
“Comfy.” He said as he rolled onto his back and stretched his arms overhead then tucked them back behind his messy spiked hair.
You stood there, not knowing where to sit- now that he had taken the one place you wanted to be.
“Don’t be shy now, girlfriend.” He leered, “come and sit.”
He took one hand from behind his head and patted the bed beside him, inviting you to sit down next to him.
You stiffly walked over and sat down, keep all your limbs in tight.
“I don’t bite.” He chuckled, stretching an arm out to drag you closer, “but I do lick.” He added slyly as he pulled you down beside him.
You squealed and tried to get free, facial expressions going wild.
“I’m joking.” He said, releasing the hellishly strange laugh he did when he found something extremely amusing.
“You’re an ass.” You growled, punching him in the ribs before settling down into his side.
As his laughter subsided his phone beeped and he reached into his pocket to retrieve it.
“Oh! Got a message from my girlfriend earlier and didn’t reply.” He said calmly.
Your eyes shot to his phone screen, then you relaxed when you saw he was talking about the messages you had sent earlier that he hadn’t replied.
“Worried, huh?” He mused when he felt your body respond to what he had said.
“No.” You lied.
Kuroo read the messages you had sent him and hummed as he closed the message app and put his phone down on the bed.
“What do I wanna do after the game?” He mused out loud, “well I know what I wanna do but not sure if you’re up for it.”
“I’m not doing anything like that with you.” You said in a flustered tone.
“Get some dinner?” He asked innocently, “what’s wrong with getting dinner after the game?”
“You idiot.” You squealed with embarrassment, “you totally baited me!”
Kuroo released another hellish laugh and scooted away from your flailing arms as you thrashed around on the bed.
“No, but seriously,” he chuckled, trying to grab your arms to stop your attacks. “Let’s get dinner together.”
“Why? So you can get my hopes up again? Just to smash them?” You asked, a bit of resentment in your voice.
Kuroo looked down at you, he could see the hurt in your eyes and he softened.
“I’m sorry.” He said honestly, his soft words stabbing you in the heart, “it’s not nice of me to keep playing with your feelings.”
He reached out and brushed your cheek with his fingers before retracting his hand.
Your eyes locked in an intense stare as he shifted forwards, his eyes travelling down to your lips then back to your eyes again as he parted his lips a little.
Static filled your brain as you tried to compute what he was about to do, but you weren’t coming up with anything so just succumbed to him as he slowly leaned all the way in, capturing your softly opened mouth against his as he kissed you.
Naturally your eyes fluttered shut and your lips closed against his, holding that position for what felt like a lifetime- but was only a few seconds, before he broke from the kiss, a soft pop noise sounding as he pulled back and opened his eyes to look at you.
“That was real.” He said in a low voice, “I don’t want to fake it anymore.”
You just looked at him, dumbfound. Had he really just kissed you?
“S-Same.” You whispered in a small voice, brain still trying to connect with intelligent speech.
Wanting to make sure that that kiss was indeed real, you glanced at his lips and moved as if to crane your head forward off the bed to kiss him again but he was already thinking the same thing so closed the gap again and took your lips against his, kissing you a little more confidently this time.
You adjusted yourself and wrapped an arm around his neck as he tilted his head and pushed his mouth firmer against yours, both mouths opening wider to allow tongues to explore.
A good 10 minutes later he was laying half on top of you on the bed and you were making out furiously, relishing in all the passion that had been held back over the last few months.
“So… That just happened.” You commented breathlessly as he pulled back and looked down at you.
“Do you believe me now?” He asked slyly.
“Well you haven’t said ‘sike’ yet.” You said with a shrug.
“Did you want me to?
“Ok then.” He said with a closed eyed smile. “So dinner after the game then?”
“Yeah, ok.” You replied, smiling up at him.
“Y/N, honey?” Your grandpa called from downstairs, “has tit gone home?”
“Why the fuck is he still calling you, tit, I’ve told him it’s ‘TET’-suro.” You muttered as you sat up.
“He’s up here Pa, we’ve been doing homework.” You called loudly.
“Anatomy and physi—.”
Kuroo’s loud call was cut off by you smacking him firmly on the side of his head.
“Shhh!” You hushed him loudly, “all we did was kiss I don’t want to have the ‘talk’ from pa just yet.”
“He’d give a pretty mean ‘talk’.” Kuroo commented, “you should hear what he and his girl talk about.”
“I don’t want to know.” You replied with a grimace, quickly getting off the bed as you heard your pa’s footsteps coming up the stairs.
