Gently, you placed your hands on the side of the sunken ship, the mossy, damp wood feeling very strange under your finger tips.
“I’m sure there are treasures inside,” you thought as you looked along the side of the ship, eyes shifting here and there to find an opening inside.
Towards the further end you saw there was a larger hole and you looked back at Butterfli3 who was still hovering in the water, keeping his wits about him as he scanned around the two of you for any sign of danger.
Something was telling him that there was a sinister being nearby so he was getting more and more edgy the long it was taking to spot the foe.
Unaware of the potential danger, you made your way down to the back of the ship and looked in through the hole.
It was very dark inside so you couldn’t see a thing.
“Do I have some kind of underwater light?” you wondered, taking a step back from the hole to open your inventory and have a look.
It was while you were focused on that, that Butterfli3 suddenly swam in front of you and his usual costume materialized onto his body, his chain whip sword replacing the dagger that had been in his hand.
“Butterfli3?” you gurgled under water, surprised that he had suddenly jumped into the foreground.
Just as he got in front of you, a massive moray eel shot out of the hole, it’s thick jaw open with studded teeth on display as it lunged straight at your man.
Fully clothed and armoured, Butterfli3 swished his chain whips sword at the eel but missed on the first strike because of the viscosity of the water slowing his actions down.
You stumbled backwards and fell on your ass, a sharp piece of coral poking your exposed backside.
With surprise and pain, you screeched, a multitude of bubbles erupting from your lips as you grabbed for your sore tush.
Butterfli3, at hearing your bubbled cry of despair, swung around, worrying that a second eel had snuck up and grabbed you but that didn’t seem to be the case- thankfully.
With his attention divided, Butterfli3 did his best to fend off the eel and call out to you to see if you were ok.
“I’m fine,” you warbled back in a water logged voice, trying to get up and out of the way so that he could fight unhindered by your presence.
You pushed off the sea bed and stumbled back, getting well clear so that Butterfli3 could work his magic and you glanced back at your ass to see if there was any visible damage.
There was a small wound on your backside and a tiny bit of blood seeped out into the water.
“That’s not good,” you thought, quickly opening your inventory and putting on some underwear at least.
Butterfli3 was starting to get the hang of wielding his chain whip under water and was getting the upper hand on the eel.
Had it not been for your re-enforcements of the whip, the eel would have chomped right through it because it’s jaws were dealing some powerful damage to anything they managed to latch onto but the whip was staying strong.
Finally, Butterfli3 managed to lure the moray out of the hole in the ship and he got the whip to snag the eel around the middle, tugging on it to draw the creature all the way out so it couldn’t keep retreating into the safety of the sunken ship.
“Yes! Go, Butterfli3!” you called in bubbly muffled encouragement, watching the health of the eel depleting with each slash.
As you stood there, a shadow fell across you and you looked up to see a tiger shark cruising overhead.
“Ohhhh shit.” Your heart sank. “Did it smell the blood from me earlier?”
You kept one eye on the shark while Butterfli3 finished off the eel but the shark seemed to be getting more and more interested in what was happening below him and so dropped his circle to check out the happenings closer to the ocean floor.
“I can’t keep relying on my man. Surely I can keep the shark at bay for a bit at least.”
You reached into the inventory and pulled out a pitchfork of sorts, something you had kept from the raid of the cave at the beginning of level 44, and held it up towards the tiger shark.
It initially came directly for you, then turned to the side and circled around as you slowly turned with it, keeping the pitch fork pointed in its direction.
The shark wasn’t giving up that easily, and circled back towards you once it had sussed you out from that end, hoping to gat a better reading on who you were- from this end.
You glanced over at how the fight between the eel and Butterfli3 was going and noted it was almost done.
“Come on, come on,” you hummed to yourself with urgent impatience as the shark started to come for you again.
You held your pitchfork up again and stared the creature down but it seemed a little more intent this time around and didn’t falter as it approached you.
“Go away!” you shouted through bubbles, screaming when the shark opened its mouth and bit down on the end of the prongs of your outstretched pitchfork, then thrashed its head from side to side.
It was far stronger than you, and ripped the weapon from your hands instantly, like you had gifted it to him.
“Butterfli3!” you yelled, freaked out, unarmed, and facing a shark that suddenly realized that you were still in front of it.
You stepped back hurriedly as the shark turned back to you and as it swished its tail and opened its mouth. Butterfli3 was there, chain whip extended to take the creature on.
With a yell, your man smacked the whip down onto the sharks head and then dropped down between you and your attacker.
Again, you stood back to give him some room and watched as he took on the decently sized tiger shark, fighting it more purposefully than he had the eel- as he knew how to fight underwater now.
It didn’t take him long to defeat the aquatic beast and then he turned to you and engulfed you in a hug.
“I want to go back,” he bubbled to you, “I just want to go home.”
“I know, Butterfli3, I know. Can I just very quickly check to see if there’s any treasure inside the ship? We’ve come so far and you’ve already taken on two creatures,” you urged, “we should at least see what’s in there before going back.”
