A happy reunion commenced and you all chatted about what had happened.
You were most excited to hear about the events from Butterfli3, as you hadn’t had a chance to hear how it had all panned out and you grinned when you heard that the police had been there when Bevan was doing his ego speech.
“Serves his egotistical ass right,” you said proudly.
Spear19 and his sister thanked you and Butterfli3 over and over and after spending ample time there you and your man left to go back up to your level.
“We need to return the mahi to the players who lost everything on the slave ship that went down on our honeymoon level,” you said, holding Butterfli3’s hand in yours and swinging it back and forth with glee.
The streets on level 1 were filled with a lot more happiness than you had ever seen them, and you realized just how many people had been affected by the veins of BB.
“We did it,” you said proudly to Butterfli3, “all the people are free now because of you.”
He smiled happily and you squeezed his hand.
“Mirio was right to call you a suneater. Your ability to outshine the sun grows every day.”
He hung his head bashfully and you giggled and nudged his shoulder with yours.
“Come on. Let’s get back to our home.”
The rest of the afternoon was spent quite lazily in game but outside the game on the following morning was crazy busy. You had police reports to write up, witness reports to sign and court dates to put down in your diary to attend.
Ontop of that, the start of your internship was fast approaching and you still needed to track down those who had lost all their mahi when the ship went down.
…………………………………
Two weeks later the madness still remained and you and Butterfli3 hadn’t had a chance to go back in game but that was fine because you were spending a hell of a lot of time together in real life… looking for an apartment together.
It was a Wednesday morning when your phone rang with an unknown number and you picked it up, expecting it to be a call back from one of her apartment blocks.
“Hello? Y/N, speaking,” you said politely.
“Damn bestie you forgot me already?” The voice of your best friend came lilting down the line and you let out a loud scream of excitement.
“BESTIE!! Oh my god, oh my god! How are you???”
She laughed happily on the other end while you screeched in her ear.
“I’m fine. I’ve only really just gotten the chance to call you. How’s things?”
“Man, where do I start?!” you said, smacking your hand to your forehead and flopping down on your bed, “it’s been a crazy… month? More than a month!”
“Babe… it’s been like… 3 months…”
“Seriously?!” you said with shock, “surely not?”
“Yah. It has…”
“Wow.”
“Yeah…”
“So how are you? Are you ok? Did you get a job?” you asked, initiating the conversation.
You chatted to your B/F for a good hour, laughing and catching up on everything but as the hour came to a close she had to excuse herself to go and help her family and so you let her go.
“Thank you for calling,” you said to her, smiling into the phone.
“I’ve missed you,” she said softly.
“Same bestie, but don’t be a stranger. Call me anytime,” you said encouragingly.
“I will. Good luck with apartment hunting today,” she replied.
“Thanks, we’ll need it.”
After saying your goodbyes you hung up, then pulled your phone from your ear and looked at it.
While you had been talking on the phone someone else from an unknown number had tried to call you so you listened to the voice message.
“Hello Y/N, this is Mark from X-pense real estate. Your application for the apartment on hero street has been successful and I would like to first of all, extend my congratulations, and secondly, talk about next steps…”
Mark did have more to say in the message but you got so excited you closed the voicemail before he had finished and quickly rang Tamaki.
“We got the place! We got the place!” you screeched into the phone, “the apartment on hero street!”
“Oh! We did?” he asked with soft excitement.
“Yes! Let me call Mark back. Did you want to come over? Let’s go together!”
*3 weeks later*
“Is that everything?” you called to Tamaki.
“One more bag,” he replied, dragging one last suitcase into the apartment that was littered with boxes, papers, and every other piece of moving equipment.
“When is the truck getting here?” you asked.
“In about an hour,” he replied, putting the suitcase down and walking over to you.
You grabbed him in a hug and squealed with delight.
“We have our own place now and we have 4 weeks of internship coming up soon! Look at us! We’re really making it somewhere in life!”
He took your hand and raised it to his lips, kissing the back of it before pulling it down and looking fondly at the engagement ring on your finger.
“As long as I have you… I’ve already made it in life,” he said softly, the gentle blush on his cheeks making him look even cuter.
“I love you, Butterfli3 of the Rapid Fate Online,” you said with loving adoration in your eyes.
“I’ve always loved you, O/N of my heart,” he said softly before gently leaning his head down to kiss your lips, embracing you in the middle of your brand new apartment, filled with boxes and junk. The look of perfection for a young couple ready to start their lives together.
