Bakugou was first off the line as usual and you chuckled to yourself as you watched him fly ahead while screaming ‘die’.
“He’s always at 3000%, isn’t he,” you thought, keeping an eye on the others as they took the jogging section at a more leisurely pace.
“We will need to work on those who are not giving it their all,” Aizawa’s voice said into your ear, his face so close to yours that you could feel his breath on the back of your neck and you broke out into goosebumps.
“Uh… y-yeah,” you replied, turning your head slightly to look back at him; but seeing him so close only made your brain short circuit so you turned to look straight ahead again to keep your cool.
“He’s standing so close! Why is he so close, I can’t deal with this!”
You tried to focus on the students and watch what they were doing but every fibre of your being was pulling your attention to the disheveled man behind you.
“Do you have plans after school?” he asked in a low voice, making you stiffen with anticipation.
“No?” you said in an inquiring voice as if to also ask why he was asking.
“You will be hungry. Join me for dinner.”
“Ok,” you replied, trying not to sound too eager or excited, “calm down, Y/N, it’s just dinner, not a marriage proposal.”
He nodded and stepped back, grinning to himself at his triumph.
“I will show her that I can be a more attentive person to her emotional needs,” he thought with determination.
………………………..
You found it very hard to focus for the rest of the day, constantly remembering that you and Aizawa wound be going out for dinner that evening.
“Am I dressed alright?” you thought, looking down at your outfit during the next class, “maybe I should puff my boobs up a little like what Mina was talking about before. Y/N!” You immediately mentally slapped yourself, “you’re supposed to be playing it cool! Don’t do anything to try and make yourself more appealing to him. We don’t want to let him get us falling head over heels again now do we?”
You settled back against the chair and tried to listen to what Aizawa was talking about at the front of the room but his monotone voice was more becoming the soundtrack to your daydream than anything else.
Finally class ended and you got up to go to the staff room.
“Miss L/N,” Yaoyorozu called as you turned for the door.
“Yes?” you asked as you looked back at her.
“I have applied for exemption and it is now pending,” she said with a bright smile, “I should hear from them in another day or two.”
“That is wonderful, Yaoyorozu. Let me know when you get the approval,” you said, turning to the door once again.
“Uh, Miss L/N?” she called again, “our class is having a get together on the weekend… at my house.” She dropped her head and fiddled with her uniform as a soft blush dusted her cheeks. “Would you consider attending?”
“Oh! That’s very kind of you,” you replied politely, “I am not sure if, as a teacher, I’m allowed to attend a students—,”
“I have yet to invite Mr Aizawa,” she cut in, “please do excuse my rudeness in interrupting you, but I would so love for you both to be there.”
“I—, uh….”
“Please think about it?” she asked with begging in her eyes.
“I… Ok… I will…” you promised.
She smiled happily and bowed politely. “Thank you, Miss L/N.”
“It’s no problem,” you replied with a polite smile, “I do have to go now but I will talk with you tomorrow.” You added professionally.
She smiled again and you left to put your things away for the evening and head out to dinner with Aizawa.
“Did she say yes?” Mina asked with hushed excitement as she snuck up behind Yaoyorozu.
“She said she would think about it but I really do hope she comes,” Yaoyorozu said.
“And Aizawa is going to come too, right?” Mina pressed, a mischievous look in her eye.
“I am yet to ask him but I do hope so,” Yaoyorozu replied.
“Ok good,” Mina said then looked over her shoulder to where Uraraka and Hagakure were standing near their desks with Uraraka sporting a cheeky grin on her face, “let’s put our plan into action!”
“Plus ultra!” Uraraka replied enthusiastically, raising her fist in the air while Hagakure jumped up and down squealing.
“In all honesty I just want Miss L/N there. I’m only inviting Mr Aizawa so that she will say yes because everyone has been invited.”
“No, this is perfect! Because then we can get Aizawa to show his protective side when your personal chef starts to get friendly with Miss L,” Mina said with a sly grin.
Yaoyorozu sighed. “Mina, I really don’t want anything dramatic happening.”
“It’ll be fine! Trust me!”
“That’s the point… I don’t trust you.”
“But you will! See this is going to strengthen their bond! You’ll see,” Mina sung, doing a little jig of happiness.
Uraraka and Hagakure were hyping Mina up from the background and Yaoyorozu shook her head.
“I guess I’ll just see what happens,” Yaoyorozu sighed.
……………………………….
As you entered the staff room, Aizawa looked up from his desk and his bloodshot eyes stared you down.
“Uh… umm…” You hesitated, glancing around to make sure everyone had gone before asking your question. “Should we leave the school grounds separately, then meet after?”
“That would be best,” Aizawa replied bluntly.
“Ok. Uh… I’ll leave and meet you on the corner then,” you said, walking to your desk to get your bag.
Aizawa nodded and you left, quickly walking down the stairs and out of the building so that you could get to the corner as quickly as possible.
“What are we even going to talk about? Should I see if he would tell me some things about his past? Maybe I’ll just ask a few questions to give him an opening and see if he trusts me enough to let me in,” you thought as you sped walked down the sidewalk.
Getting to the corner, you stopped and looked around.
Suddenly Aizawa was beside you and you almost screamed as he dropped down from the wall of UA and stood up.
“Why?!” you wheezed, “why did you come from the wall?! I was expecting you to walk out the gates like a normal person.”
“I’m not about to let you leave the school grounds on your own in the dark. I trailed you from the wall,” he replied nonchalantly.
