He glanced up at you again when he heard you choke slightly again and you held a hand up to stop him from saying anything.
“I’m fine,” you mumbled through the food in your mouth, rapidly chewing to get them down.
He just nodded then continued eating.
“Remind me to never eat noddles with Aizawa again, I’m going to end up choking to death and it will be written on my tombstone- here lays Y/N who suffocated on a noodle. RIP.”
By some act of god you managed to not die during dinner then left the shop with him after he had finished as well.
“Thank you for the training session and food,” you said as you both walked home side by side, “that was … nice.” Hearing your own words you immediately mentally facepalmed. “Really, Y/N… nice? NICE? what kind of a half assed comment is ‘nice’.”
‘Yes, I enjoyed it also,” Aizawa replied in his default bored tone.
“Oh well, he didn’t seem fazed by it so it’s something I guess.” You shrugged then spoke out loud again. “Please don’t feel like you need to walk me home. I can get home on my own.”
He shook his head, man bun still showing all his features, “I don’t feel obliged, but this is my own personal rule. I need to be assured of the safety of the people I’m with.”
“Ok,” you replied softly, smiling to yourself.
He got you to your apartment then left kinda abruptly, leaving you there on the porch. You thought that maybe you should invite him in for a coffee but he just turned and left before you could say any more.
Over the following week you and Aizawa spent a lot of time together-training and planning for bathhouse weekend that, let’s be honest, was sounding more like some kind of torturous weekend for the students than a compensation for the ‘kidnapping’ fiasco.
Aizawa had some strange class bonding ideas but you just rolled with it.
…………………………………..
“Ok, head count, call out ‘here’ when you hear your name,” you called happily as you raised your clipboard up and poised your pen to tick off names on the departure bus.
It was now that weekend and everyone was brimming with excitement as you prepared to leave and head to the Yaoyorozu retreat.
“Aoyama?”
“Oui!” the flamboyant student called, raising his hand and flicking it out extravagantly.
“Ok…” you mumbled, ticking his name off.
“Bakugou?”
“Mmh,” he grunted, crossing his arms across his chest and slumping back against the bus seat.
“Iida?”
“Present, Miss L/N.”
“All I asked for was a ‘here’,” you deadpanned, ticking his name off the list.
You got through everyone then told the coach driver you were all set to go and sat down gingerly next to Aizawa who was already in his sleeping bag and fast asleep against the bus window.
“I wanted to have a conversation with him but that’s ok, I guess,” you thought, looking at him before watching the scenery go by outside.
The busy city traffic slowly eased as the bus made its way out of town and the houses became more and more spaced apart. The roads too, got wider and less looked after, as the view from your window took on a more rural look.
“What will happen with the showering situation?” you wondered, “Yaoyorozu did mention that the teacher’s quarters had their own private ensuite Aizawa and I probably should have come out earlier in the week to have a proper look around but we just didn’t have time.”
You watched as the bus started heading up the side of a mountain, entering a beautiful forest and dropping a gear to pull up the hill.
“What would happen if I didn’t lock the bathroom door one night and Aizawa just walked in and saw me in the shower?” You body buzzed as your thoughts started to create a little erotic scene in mind, “my apologies, Y/N,” you heard Aizawa’s voice say in your daydream, “but I won’t be leaving now…”
Anime style embarrassed steam poured from your ears as you imagined him pinning you to the shower wall, his lips pressing firmly to yours before you initiated a deeper kiss.
“Miss L/N?” Kaminari’s voice suddenly interrupted your explicit daydream.
“Yes?!” You yelped in reply, startled by his voice.
“How much longer is it going to be? Because I need to use the bathroom.”
“Seriously?” you thought, looking over your shoulder and giving the blond a disappointed look, “it shouldn’t be too much longer. Go and sit down, please.”
“Uh… ok,” he replied sheepishly turning and making his way back down to where he had been sitting before.
You sighed and glanced across at Aizawa who was still fast asleep.
“I hope this is a good weekend,” you thought, checking him out before looking back out the front window.
……………………………………….
“Everyone, please remain seated as the bus pulls to a stop,” Iida said authoritatively from his spot near the front of the bus, commanding the class before you could say anything.
Most students had completely ignored him though and had their faces smooshed up against the inside of the bus windows, ogling the sights outside.
The bathhouse was set in the most picturesque part of the mountains, as expected, and the nervous excitement build inside you as you looked out at the few log cabins dotted among the trees.
“Thank you,” you said to the driver as he pulled to a stop then turned your attention to your students, “everyone off. Grab your bags then line up, please.”
Excited chatter floated around as student after student got up from their seats and made their way off the bus.
“Aizawa?” you said gently, touching the yellow sleeping bag.
He roused and popped one very tired eye open.
“We’re here,” you said gently.
He nodded and you got up to go and attend to the students.
“Ok,” you called as you hopped off the bus and walked around to stand in front of the students, “girls, you’ll come with me, and boys, Aizawa will take you to your cabin.”
“Single line,” Aizawa said in a stern voice as he walked off the bus and headed straight for the first cabin, making the boys run to get in behind him.
“He literally just woke up and commanded the crowds,” you thought with amusement as you watched him go.
You turned back to the girls then beckoned them to follow you as you walked towards the other large cabin that would serve as the girls quarters.
“Miss L/N, would you like me to show you to your cabin?” Momo asked brightly after she had out her things down at the bunk bed.
“Oh, that’s ok, Yaoyorozu, I’m sure Aizawa will know where our cabin is,” you said politely.
“Oh… but… you have separate cabins?” she said with a little confusion.
“I… sorry?”
“You and Aizawa have a cabin each to yourselves,” she reiterated.
“We… we do?”
“Yes.”
“OH! Of course, yes,” you laughed self-consciously, “I knew that. In that case, yes, please show me which is mine.”
She smiled and nodded happily, “it would be my pleasure, please come with me.”
