“What the everliving fuck?!” Your brain screamed at you, “are we seriously going to be sharing a room?!”
You played it cool though, walking into the room and sitting back down in your chair at the back of the room but not before giving Yaoyorozu another wink.
She smiled up big and faced the front of the room, ready to hear Aizawa’s verdict.
“I have had at a brief discussion with Miss L/N, and we have both agreed that…” He paused for added effect. “It is a good idea to take you all, as a class, away for a class bonding weekend.”
Groans erupted from the students and immediately Aizawa’s hair stood on end, his eye glowed a menacing red colour- immediately shutting the students up.
“As I was saying,” he said bluntly, “it’s important for you to understand the value of teamwork and so this getaway weekend to Yaoyorozu’s family bathhouse will be treated as a class training exercise.”
There was absolute silence as he finished up and you mentally facepalmed.
“He could have put it a completely different way so that it was more appealing… but that’s Aizawa I guess.” You thought, waiting for him to dismiss the class.
“We are done today, go home,” he then said abruptly and turned to walk out of the room.
“That ended a lot faster than expected,” you thought with an internal chuckle.
“Miss L/N, I am so excited for the bathhouse weekend,” Yaoyorozu gushed as she made her way over to your desk excitedly.
“I am too,” you said politely, “thank you, Yaoyorozu, for offering your family bathhouse for our use.”
“Oh, it’s no trouble at all,” she replied politely, “it’s an honour actually!”
“I wonder what kind of training Aizawa will have us doing?” Uraraka asked as she walked over to join in the conversation.
“Test of courage?” Tsuyu queried, walking over with Uraraka then pressing her index finger to her cheek and tilting it with a thinking look on her face.
“I will have to work out the finer details with Aizawa,” you said to the girls, “but it will be a lovely weekend… I assure you.”
The girls all smiled and you stood up then politely excused yourself and headed for the staff room.
“Any ideas on what you want to do?” you queried Aizawa as you entered.
Present Mic was in there and he looked up when he heard your voice then immediately pulled his glasses down to his nose and checked you out over the top of them.
“That outfit is very flattering,” he commented, giving you a wink.
“Hizashi that’s sexual harassment,” Aizawa deadpanned.
“No, but I’m just telling her—,”
“She doesn’t need unnecessary comments from you. If you want to compliment her, commend her on her leadership skills during the class exercise today,” Aizawa said.
Flustered, you quickly walked to your desk so you could sit down and hide a little from the heavily focused conversation that was revolving solely around you.
“She did well, did she?” Hizashi asked Aizawa, who nodded in return.
“I’m right here,” you said, raising your hand.
“She has been a very helpful assistant,” Aizawa added, “I am also going to give her private training in combat.”
“Private,” Hizashi leered.
“Ok! Thank you. That’s all this conversation needs,” you interjected, “thank you, Aizawa, for offering tuition.”
“Speaking of which, we should do some training now while the arena is still open,” he stated.
“Now?!” you asked.
“Did I mumble?” he asked in a blunt tone.
“No. But I feel like it’s a hasty decision,” you replied in a bit of a sassy voice.
“No time like the present,” he replied, “you take my offer or you head home, decision is yours.”
“Fine,” you said standing up, “let’s go train.”
“Good.”
“I’ll prepare for the wedding while you’re gone,” Hizashi added cheekily, earning himself a slap on the face from your extended hand.
“That’s a handy quirk,” Aizawa commented as you walked out of the staff room with him, “I need that so I can slap Hizashi more often without moving from my sleeping bag.”
You laughed as you walked beside him, leaving Hizashi alone in the staff room smiling to himself as you two left together.
“They’re a really cute couple,” he thought, pushing his glasses back up onto his nose then getting back to his work.
…………………………….
“I have one rule,” you said to Aizawa as he pushed the arena doors open and stepped back to let you through first, “you can’t use your eraser quirk. This is supposed to be combat training.”
He stepped in behind you and grabbed your wrist then twisted it up behind your back- a textbook hammerlock. But you just smiled and activated your quirk then walked forward, acting unfazed as you left your hand behind in his grasp.
“Are we going to get serious? Or are you just here to muck around?” you teased with a smirk, looking back at him over your shoulder, “holds don’t work on me, I’m basically made of rubber.”
“I can see that, yes,” Aizawa mused, letting go of your hand and following you into the centre of the arena.
“I don’t know what you’re going to teach me that I can’t already do myself?” you asked honestly, “arm and body locks don’t work on me. I can’t be kept in an average cage either because I can squeeze through the bars. I can also stretch my legs to be able to step out of deep holes…”
“But you can’t get out of ropes, can you?” Aizawa asked, quickly deploying the scarf from around his neck and wrapping it around your wrists and waist then pulling them tight to restrain you.
In retaliation you extended your arms and wrapped them around his throat then started to slowly restrict his breathing like a boa constrictor would.
There was an intense stand off as Aizawa tightened his binds around your body and you cut off his air supply… Then finally, just before passing out, he conceded and released you so in turn you let him go as well.
The tired looking teacher coughed violently and you felt kinda bad but at the same time you were happy you’d been able to prove yourself to him.
“Any other ideas?” you asked, “like I said before- it’s a handy quirk.”
“I agree,” he replied, rubbing his throat, “a great quirk for a hero.”
“I’ve told you before. I’m not wanting to become a hero. I want to support the next generation,” you replied, “aside from that I can hold my own.”
“I can see that,” he replied, “would you, perhaps like to duel me then so that I can improve my own battle skills? I do work as a hero at night but I’m finding that I don’t get much time to train outside of teaching and would like to make sure that my skill set is up to scratch.”
“Sure,” you replied happily, “what would you like me to do?”
For the next half hour you had the pleasure of attacking Aizawa in different ways to see if he could combat your offense and although he hinted that he might have been out of practice… he certainly wasn’t!
