“Shhhh,” Mina hushed as you worked frantically to unlock the broadcast room at school.
“This fucking, fuck of a fuck,” you whispered harshly at the lock when it refused to open as Mina giggled with nervousness and smacked you on the back between the shoulder blades.
“Hurry!” she squealed, looking over to shoulder to make sure no one was in the hall.
The lock finally bounced open and you grabbed for the door and let yourself and Mina inside, then quickly closed and locked the door behind you.
Mina threw her hand out and flicked the light switch on and skipped over to the broadcast desk where she grabbed a headset and handed it to you then put another pair on her own head.
“Let’s do this,” you said with a confident smirk to her, switching the speaker on and reaching over to slam the microphone up to full volume.
“Yeahhhhh!” you screamed into the mic, knowing that your voice would have been horribly distorted as it rang through out each classroom at the UA high school.
Mina was in fits of laughter and had her head on the desk, cackling away as you made the announcement.
“Welcome to the class 1-A prank day. We have a lovely list of songs here that we would love to dedicate to different members of the class as well as some teachers SO without further ado, let’s get to it!”
You pointed at Mina who had by now composed herself and had put the USB of songs into the broadcast computer and had the list ready to go.
She dragged the mouse down and clicked on the first song, the introduction music starting as you sat your lips back on the mic.
“Shouto Todoroki, this is for you!”
The introduction to ‘ice ice baby’ drowned you out and you sat back and laughed, high-fiving Mina.
You saw movement outside the broadcast room and waved when you saw Sero pushing Denki down the hall in a Walmart shopping cart.
“The school’s gone mad!” Mina cackled, shouting out her encouragement to the two boys as they disappeared past the window.
“Ok next song!” you shouted over the blaring music, “is!…”
You pointed at Mina and suddenly the sonic the hedgehog theme song came on and you both lost it.
“Iida Tenya!” you screamed into the mic.
Next minute the song changed to ‘pumped up kicks’ and you lost it again, howling with laughter as the song played the chorus.
“It’s perfect!” you screeched at Mina.
“Right?!” she cackled, “wait! Wait!”
She reached over and pressed the button for the next song down and uptown funk came on.
“Oh, fucking, Aoyama, for sure,” you said to her before grabbing the mic, “where’s that sparkle badboy? Aoyama, this is for you!”
You and Mina yelled along with the lyrics while dancing in your seats, then came time for the next one.
“What’s this one?” you asked Mina, looking across to her to see the following song.
It wasn’t a song, but a sound bite and you looked at her curiously.
“Who’s this one for?” you asked her.
“Bakugou,” she chuckled, pressing play.
It was recorded pieces of all the time Bakugou had yelled ‘die’and you threw your head back and laughed.
From outside you heard and explosion followed by Bakugou’s iconic ‘die’ and laughed all over again.
“Where’s one for Aizawa?” you asked, wiping your eyes of the laughter tears.
“Here,” Mina said, clicking on another piece of music further down.
‘Wake Me Up When September Ends’ started playing and you grabbed for the mic.
“Aizawa- Sensei! This is for you!”
The minute you had called it out you heard voices in the hallway and then one voice calling out over all of the others.
“They got Sero!”
Your head whipped towards the door then you looked back at Mina.
“Oh shit, I think the teachers are starting to catch people,” you said, getting up and taking your headset off so you could look out of the broadcast room window.
Outside, you saw Present Mic with Sero and Uraraka in ties, tying them to a post that had been set up in the middle of the grounds.
“They’re fighting back now,” you turned back to Mina, “we need to make a run for it!”
Discarding everything in the broadcast room, the two of you grabbed for the door and barreled out into the hallway.
“Stop them!” The voice of another teacher – Vlad King, called.
“Oh shit, oh shit!” you mumbled, grabbing Mina around the waist and throwing you and her through the open window from the second level of the building.
She screamed as you both tumbled out of the window and then you activated your quirk, two metal paraglider wings shooting from your back as you took off across the grounds with her hanging under you and hollering with delight.
“Melt the ties!” you shouted to Mina, turning in the air so that you would glide directly over the tied up Sero and Uraraka.
Mina understood the assignment and held her hands out, pointing them towards the two trapped classmates as you flew overhead.
With pinpoint precision, Mina shot two lines of acid and melted the ropes melted from Sero and Uraraka’s arms and wrists.
“Run!” you shouted to them, “meet at the cafe!”
They both nodded and took off towards the gates.
“We gotta go,” you called down to Mina, seeing that a number of students from the class were also making a run for it.
As you soared over the gates, you looked back and saw a massive explosion come from the boy’s toilets and you let out a noise of exclamation.
“What? What is it?” Mina called, trying to look back.
“That’s the sound of us getting expelled a day before we graduate,” you called back, “who the fuck made that explosion?! I’m assuming Bakugou.”
………………………………..
A half hour later, everyone involved in the prank day was assembled at the local cafe.
“Did everyone make it out?” you asked over the chatter of the classmates.
“I think so?” Uraraka replied, “where is Kaminari. He was causing the most drama.”
“Denk!” you shouted over the group.
“Yo!” came the reply from the back.
“Ok, he’s here,” you said to Uraraka.
Kaminari pushed his way through the crowd to where you were and gave you a big grin and a fist bump as he stopped before you.
“Did you like the explosion?” he asked with a cheeky grin, “better than Bakugou’s, huh?”
“Shut it, dunce face,” Bakugou called, having overheard Kaminari’s remark, “you only got that explosion because you stole one of my gauntlets.”
“What?” you asked with a confused chuckle, looking at Bakugou then back to Kaminari.
“Stupid, here, stole my grenade and dropped it into the toilet, didn’t he? Then he pulled the pin out and ran. Now everyone thinks I stuck my hand down the toilet.” Bakugou growled with annoyance.
You turned away and bit into the side of your cheek to stop yourself from laughing as Kaminari tried to defend himself verbally and Kirishima had to jump in and pull Bakugou back.
“Did Iida make it out?” Sero then asked you, suddenly appearing beside you.
“Did Iida end up joining in?” you asked him in surprise.
“Yeah, he did… he ran down the hall and then apologized at the end,” Sero said.
“Oh my god. The rebel,” you laughed, “no, but how much damage did we do?”
“Apart from the toilets… not much… although we did put coconut shavings on top of the fans then ran into the classrooms and switched them all on so there would be a bit of vacuuming to do,” Sero replied.
“We’ll need to clean up tomorrow,” you said, “but that was so much fun.”
“Hey, we forgot to turn the broadcast off,” Mina said to you, “Green Day is probably still playing…”
“What song was after that one?”
“I think it was WAP?” Mina mused, “I hope it got turned off before that song played…”
*back at UA*
Mortified students stood in hallway and classrooms as a song blared loudly over the speakers and teachers rushed to turn it off.
