Mistletoe – Shinsou Hitoshi x Fem!Reader

“Hey, have you seen Hitoshi?” you asked Uraraka, walking up to her.

“Uhhh… no sorry, Y/N, I haven’t?” she replied, watching some tinsel float up the side of the giant Christmas tree in the common lounge, to where Midoriya was standing on a ladder with his hand outstretched to catch it and hang it high.

“Got it!” he shouted down to her and she pressed her fingertips together and called for her quirk to release before looking across and smiling at you.

“I haven’t seen him since this morning,” she added.

“Oh…” you said with disappointment, looking down before looking up to where Midoriya had just finished hanging the sparkly Christmas rope, “Midoriya!” You shouted up to him, “have you seen Hitoshi? Can you see him from up there?!”

Midoriya looked down at you, then up and around, trying to locate the messy haired new classmate.

“Sorry, Y/N, I can’t see him,” he called back to you.

“You’re looking for Shinsou?” Todoroki asked from the bottom of the ladder, where he was holding it steady for Midoriya, “I saw him carrying boxes earlier with Kaminari.”

“Oh! Where were they going?” you asked hopefully.

“I am not sure. But the boxes had baubles in them,” he replied.

“Oh…” You looked around under the tree, thinking that they may have dropped the boxes off here for the tree, seeing as that’s where baubles would be used, but when you didn’t see any bauble boxes, you looked back at the duel haired classmate to ask your next question. “Where else would they have put baubles around here?” You asked him.

“Momo is stringing baubles in the kitchen,” Mina offered as she walked past with some presents in arms.

“Oh?” you asked, face brightening, “ok, I’ll go and have a look, thanks Mina!”

And with that, you trotted off to find Momo in the kitchen.

She was up on a ladder, held at the base by Koda, reaching out to string baubles along a string that was suspended across the ceiling by Sero’s tape.

As you entered the room, you looked around for the boxes that could have housed the baubles and saw them emptied out and tipped on their sides, next to the table that was being filled with food by Sato and Hagakure. 

“Hey, Momo?” you asked as you walked over to beside Koda and gave him a polite smile before looking up to the pretty classmate.

“Hi, Y/N,” she said brightly, looking away from the bauble she had just hung to look down at you.

“Did Hitoshi and Kaminari bring the baubles in for you?” you asked hopefully.

“Yes, they did,” she said with a smile.

“Oh! Awesome, do you know where they went?” 

“Umm… I thought I heard Kirishima ask them to help carry chairs into the lounge area?” she replied thoughtfully.

“Lounge area?” you asked with disappointed surprise, “I was literally just there!” You sighed. “Ok, thank you, I’ll go back and have a look.”

Turning back again, you made your way back into the lounge room and saw Kiri and Kaminari in there, setting up chairs… but no Hitoshi.

“Hey Kaminari?” you asked the bubbly blond, “where’s Hitoshi?”

“Oh, you just missed him, he went to the bathroom,” he said with a chuckle, “he’ll be back soon.”

“I’ll meet him on the way,” you said, turning and walking out the door and down the hallway that would lead to the bathrooms on that level.

Halfway down the hall you bumped into Jirou who was carrying some presents with Shoji. 

“Hi guys,” you greeted them.

“Hey Y/N,” Jirou greeted back, “have you got the music for tonight?” 

“I thought you were in charge of that?” you asked with surprise, “weren’t you and Kaminari going to play DJs for tonight?”

“Yeah, but you always have the best playlists,” she replied, “can you put together the playlist and then him and I will keep it going for the night.”

“Oh, sure,” you replied, “that’s fine. I just need to find Hitoshi and then I’ll get onto it.”

“I saw him a second ago,” Shoji said to you.

“Was he headed down to the bathroom?” You asked to confirm his location.

He nodded.

“Ok, cool, I’ll catch him when he comes out,” you said with a smile as you made to go past them, “I’ll see you soon, ok?”

You picked up the pace, jogging past them and aiming for the bathroom doors, determined to catch him this time.

“I’m looking’ like a weirdo,” you muttered to yourself, stopping just in front of the boys bathroom door and pausing there, “I hope he comes out and not someone else…”

But unfortunately, you weren’t that lucky, as Mineta exited the bathroom at that point and you screamed- your scream setting him off and making him scream too, so you were both standing there screaming at each other.

“Is Hitoshi in there?” you screeched at him.

“No?! Why?! You pervert!” he screamed back at you. 

“Pervert?! You’re the pervert!” 

“I’m not a pervert, I’m not standing in front of the boys bathroom door asking to see Shinsou!”

“I didn’t ask to see Hitoshi, I asked if he was in there!” you wailed, “I just want him! Is that so hard to understand! I’ve been looking for him all night!” 

“Shinsou?” Tokoyami asked, exiting the boys bathroom behind Mineta, “he told me he needed to get changed before going back to the lounge room so he was going to go to his room first.”

“Oh my god!” you snapped with exasperation, “why is this so difficult. Ok, thank you, Tokoyami.” 

And with that you spun and sprinted to his room.

But alas, your pounding on his door was futile, as it appeared that he had left already.

Again.

“Hhhnnnngggggyaaaa!!” you groaned with frustration, slamming your fists against the door before allowing your forehead to connect with the wood, “for crying out loud.” You grunted, pushing off the door and turning to go back to the lounge.

“Oi, turdburger,” Bakugou’s unmistakable voice called to you.

You looked over your shoulder at him and scowled.

“Don’t even start me, humanoid prickle, I’m not in a good mood,” you snapped at him.

“Like I care what mood you’re in,” he snorted, “why you got a stick up your ass?”

“I’m trying to find Hitoshi and I’m being sent all over heights alliance on a stupid goose chase and I still haven’t found him,” you snapped with annoyance.

“Have you tried—,”

“Everywhere?” you cut in. “Yes. I have. And if he’s not in the lounge when I get back there I’m going to stab someone with a fork.”

Bakugou huffed with amusement.

“Anyway. I’m going,” you said, turning and stalking off down the hall.

“Get your lips ready,” Bakugou called out to you but you had no idea what he was on about and you were too pissed to ask, so you just gave him the middle finger over your shoulder and kept walking.

When you entered the lounge room that third time, your mood had significantly deteriorated from your usual happy self, and you scowled as you stepped in.

“Kaminari!” you snapped at the blond who was chuckling and joking with Kirishima, “where the hell is Hitoshi!”

Kaminari, looked up, saw you, then pointed quickly to somewhere behind the Christmas tree that you couldn’t see.

Slightly relived that he was hopefully pointing at Hitoshi, your face brightened a little and you walked around the Christmas tree.

There, in the doorway to the dining area, was Hitoshi, with a Christmas hat on, standing under the mistletoe.

In a fit of happy rage, you stalked towards him with a hard half smile, half scowl on your face.

“You asshole! I’ve been looking for you all night and you’ve been avoiding me like the—,”

Your sentence got cut short though, when you got to him, and he grabbed you in a hug and pulled you in under the mistletoe for a kiss, his warm soft lips silencing your moving ones.

While he held you, you gently put your arms around his neck and held onto him, enjoying his embrace.

“Merry Christmas, Y/N,” he said gently once he had let your lips free of his.

“Well it is now! Now that I’ve found you!” You replied with a softer smile this time, “where’s the Christmas tinsel? I need to tie you to myself so I don’t lose you again!”
