You had kept your head down mostly so you didn’t see where everyone else in the class was. After you had finished your training, the class ended. Everyone had managed to get in before you so you assumed they had all seen your performance… or lack there of.
You hung at the back of the group and followed them meekly back to the change rooms.
Everyone seemed a little tired but no one was as completely void of energy as you. This wasn’t fair at all.
Inside the change rooms the girls took their sports uniforms off and got back into their school uniforms.
You couldn’t help but catch glimpses of them as they took their gear off. All of them were perfect. Their skin was smooth with no lumps of bumps. They didn’t have any unnecessary bulges. Now, instead of just feeling large, you were feeling large AND ugly.
You hid your body in shame, quickly changing in one of the stalls instead.
Once back in your school uniform, you miserably left the change room and walked back to the classroom with your head down.
Entering quickly, you found your seat and sat down quietly, staring down at your desk.
“Man, you were killing it out there,” you heard the voice of one of your male classmates as he spoke to Kirishima who was sitting in front of you.
“Nah. Not really,” Kirishima replied modestly, “Bakugou was well ahead of me. And Todoroki too!”
“Nah, but you didn’t even break a sweat!” the guy said and you glanced up to see who was talking. It was Sero, the tape quirk guy, “what’s your secret?”
“Well… I do like to workout,” Kirishima said, “I think that’s helped a lot.”
“I think I need to get onto something like that,” Sero replied, “I dunno if I can bulk these but it’d look good to have some shape to them.”
You glanced up again.
He was holding up his arms trying to show off his slender biceps.
You looked down again.
“Bro! You would bulk easily! I can show you how, I’ve been working on mine.”
You glanced up again just as Kirishima flexed and yep. Wow. He had some guns on him.
“Kiri, man, don’t do that when the girls are around you’ll have them hanging off you,” Kaminari, one of the other guys said as he walked over, “we should start a gym group. I wanna get stacked for summer.”
“Taking care of your physique is super manly,” Kirishima said, the conversation continuing on while you sat there.
You glanced up again at the guys but saw Bakugou was sitting in his seat now and was watching you.
Eye contact between you both. Again. This was becoming a regular thing now. He scowled a little and looked away.
“What is this guys deal?!” you thought.
He was always looking at you but he always looked pissed?! Why?!
Throughout that last class you suddenly realized why you didn’t have as much energy during track practice. You had hardly eaten any lunch!
Your stomach ached at that point and let out small mewls for food that slow became more and more insistent over the next few minutes. The stronger those hunger pangs, the more often your eyes would gloss the clock on the wall.
“Thank god I have 2 more lunch boxes in my bag! I can eat them on the way home! I only have 10 more minutes before I can go!!”
Finally, the bell rang and you were up and off, stiff legging it out of the classroom and to your locker. You were so focused on getting there that you weren’t aware of Bakugou tailing you.
It was only when you got to your locker that you realized he was right behind you.
“Oh,” you said with surprise when he pulled his locker open right above yours and started shoving things in.
You tried to get your stuff out quickly so you could get away from him but he managed to finish getting his stuff first and slammed his locker shut so hard you thought that it was going to knock the whole row of lockers over.
You shut your eyes tight and hoped he had gone but he was just standing there over you.
You got your stuff and straightened slightly.
“Your right side is weak,” he said in a low grouchy voice.
“Umm… yeah,” you agreed, looking down at the ground, “all of me is weak.”
He made a ‘Tch’ noise and you looked up at him curiously. Why did he make that noise?
“You’re such a pain,” he growled, “you’ll never beat me like you are now.”
“Huh?” you asked.
“Fine! I’ll train you,” he snapped, “damn it. But don’t get in my way, ok? Or I’ll kill you!”
“W-What?!” you stammered with confusion.
“I’ll text you, damn laces. Tie them up already!” he snapped as he turned and stalked off.
You looked down at your shoes that you had slid back on. The laces were still untied.
You put your bag down and crouched down to tie them but you found that position a little hard to hold while breathing, so decided to sit down on the little step and do it that way.
“Oh! I’m glad you’re still here!” the happy voice of Kirishima said as he rounded the lockers, “hey, so do you need help packing today? I can come round?”
“Uh… umm… no, it’s ok I’ll be ok, I-I’ll let you know though if I do need help,” you stammered ask you tied your lace quickly and heaved yourself up to standing again then picked up your bag.
“Today was rough, right?” Kirishima said as you fell in step and walked out the doors together.
“Yeah. You did well though … it sounded like,” you added. You didn’t really see how anyone else did. You were too busy staring at the ground that whole training time.
“Oh… no not really,” he replied sheepishly, “I have a lot to improve on.”
“Yeah…” you agreed, thinking about yourself.
As you walked out the gates your mum beeped her horn and you looked up.
“Oh. There’s mum,” you said.
“Is it ok if I say hello?” Kirishima asked you and you looked at him with surprise, “oh… I hope that’s ok? We’re friends right? I just want to make sure she knows who I am. That’s all?” he added sheepishly.
“Umm yeah. Ok,” you nodded, crossing the road with him.
You opened your door and got in while saying hello to your mum and Kirishima dropped his head down to say hello to your mum from the passenger side as you put your window down and then closed the door.
“Hi Mrs L/N. My name is Kirishima Eijirou, I’m a classmate of Y/N’s. She’s a friend of mine,” he said with a bright sharp toothed smile.
“Oh! A pleasure to meet you Kirishima, thank you for being a friend to my Y/N. You’re a lovely boy,” your mum said with a pat to your knee.
You plastered a ‘kill me now’ smile on your face and stared into your lap.
“This is so awkward,” you thought, your mind going straight to the bento boxes that were in your bag.
