After lunch you and Shoto headed back to class.
“Where did you disappear off to?” Ochaco quizzed as you entered the classroom.
“Uh well…” you gestured towards your duel haired boyfriend. “We had lunch on the roof together.” You grinned slyly.
Ochaco gasped and bounced with excitement, squeezing her hands into fists. “Eeeeee so cuuuute!!” She gushed.
“Shhhh!!” You waved your hands in-front of her. “He’s looking at us! Don’t make a scene!!”
You flashed Shoto a wide smile.
“Ok you lot, sit down.” Aizawa sempai entered the room abruptly as the bell rang. He was always prompt.
You made your way to your seat next to Shoto, he quickly stood and pulled the chair out from your desk and helped you sit. “Oh my god his attention towards me is too much! My heart is being crushed with his adorableness.” You screwed your face up and clutched your chest in a pained expression of love.
“Y/N are you ok?” Shoto whispered when he saw your expression.
“Yes, you’re just too cute!” You whispered back hastily.
He blushed and pulled on his fringe to try and hide his expression.
“Ok, assignment time,” Aizawa stated boredly. “Find a partner, you got 1 minute.” He turned to face the clock for the countdown.
You looked to the side and your eyes met Shoto’s.
“Partner?” He asked, tilting his head.
“Done!” You replied with a grin.
He nodded happily.
Aizawa turned to face the class after one minute was up and eyed everyone in the room. “Everyone got a partner?” He asked. “Good.”
“Man, R.I.P. if you didn’t find someone in that minute! This guy waits for no one!” You thought.
“Ok here’s your assignment. -How would you best use your quirk in the following rescue situations-.” Aizawa listed a few scenarios and you wrote them down for reference. “Got it? Good. Assignment is due in class at the end of this week. The rest of this class time is devoted to getting started. Only ask me for help if you ABSOLUTELY need to, I’m going to sleep.” And with that, he pulled out a sleeping bag, zipped himself up and curled up in the corner of the room.
“Uhh ok?” You turned to Shoto. “Should we get started?”
“Want to head to the library?” Shoto asked. “It will be a bit more quiet there so we can focus.” He added with a small smile.
“Sure! Let’s go.” You stood and he followed you out of the room.
You entered the empty hall and walked side by side towards the library. He reached out and took your hand when he was sure no one else was around. You smiled and squeezed it. You loved his fire side. His left hand was so warm and inviting. All too soon you reached the library doors and he pushed it open to let you through. The library was still and quiet. Shoto stood behind you as the doors closed and he placed his hands on your shoulders as he closed the gap from behind you. You jumped at his proximity and made a hurried excuse before walking towards the tables at the back of the room. Each set of tables had a divider between them for a degree of privacy. You chose one and Shoto sat opposite you.
“Ok, where do we start?” You asked Shoto.
“Let’s start with the ‘inside the building’ one.” Shoto replied. “That’s the hardest one for my quirk.” You nodded and started jotting some things down.
“What are you writing?” Shoto asked, leaning over the table to get a better look. You looked up. He was close, So close. You gulped as his eyes met yours. The air around you both grew tense.
“I want him so badly.” You licked your bottom lip and bit it lightly. His eyes flicked to your lips and you saw him swallow hard.
“Uhh… Umm… I’m gonna get a book for this thingy.” You jumped up hurriedly and ran into one of the isles. “Idiot! Idiot! Why did you run?!” You facepalmed and slowed as you reached the wall at the end of the books. You turned to go back but stopped when you saw Shoto standing at the other end of the isle. He was walking slowly towards you.
You backed up against the wall and averted your eyes as he got closer. “Y/N?” Shoto asked with concern as he got closer. “Do I frighten you?” He gently placed his palms either side of your head against the wall, his proximity and stance forcing you to look at him.
“No no that’s not it!” You raised your hands up in front of you, level with his chest. “I just… you… I can’t..” You fumbled for words as he lent in closer. His breath on your cheek. He gently dropped his forehead onto your shoulder and wrapped his arm around your back pulling you into him while he supported himself against the wall with his other arm.
“Y/N I really, really like you and I’m so worried I’m scaring you with my desire to be close but I just can’t help it. I just want to hold you, be near you, look at you.” He mumbled into your shoulder.
You sighed and melted into him feeling the heat radiate from his left side. “Shoto you don’t scare me, I promise.” You whispered, your lips brushing the tip of his ear. He shuddered and pulled you closer. ” I’m in the same boat as you Shoto, I’m infatuated with you! When I’m with you I fumble for words, make a fool of myself, can’t act normal. I think I’m just scared of how hard I’ve fallen for you…. that’s all.” You returned his hug and buried your head into the crook of his neck. “I’m so sorry if I’ve worried you.”
“Not at all,” he replied softly. “I understand completely.”
You hugged a little longer enjoying the embrace.
“Y/N would you come over for dinner tonight? We can continue the assignment afterwards.” Shoto asked suddenly. “Don’t worry my old man won’t be home!” You both remembered the awkward events from the gala and giggled.
“I’ll cook.” He pulled back and winked at you.
“Sounds good!” You replied eyes shining.
He kissed you on the cheek and led you back to the table to continue your assignment together.
