Boop; I Love You Chapter 2: Flirting With The UA Boys

“You can have mind control boy.” Your friend said dismissively. “Give me sparky boom boom any day!”

“Sold!” You yelled, slamming your fist down on the armrest of the chair. “So? What’s the plan?” You asked as you looked at her with a devious smile. 

“The usual.” She replied with an equally devious grin. 

You two had a tradition, after watching the UA sports festival you would then make a special trip after school the next day to the gates of UA and congratulate your newly found boys and flirt with them as much as possible to see if you could woo them.

Sometimes it worked and you got a date! Other times it didn’t, but that’s showbiz baby.

“Should I just go with ‘Bakugou’, ‘Bakugou-kun’ or just go straight to ‘hey daddy’?” F/N asked as you both walked quickly from your school towards UA.

You both had quirks, but neither were what would be considered ‘hero worthy’ quirks so you attended just a normal high school down the road from the famous UA, opting to focus on other studies that would propel you towards your future career instead. 

“Well…knowing you, you’ll go straight to the ‘hey daddy’ but I don’t know how Mr Angry will take it.” You said with a laugh. 

“What about you?” Your friend asked. “What are you going to say to indigo boy?”

You thought a moment. “Umm, I don’t know actually, I’m kinda really into him… I don’t want to mess up my chances.” 

“Just tell him you thought his quirk was really cool and ask him about it, guys love talking about their quirks.” She said. 

“Ok, well here we go!” She added excitedly, priming you as you both rounded the corner to UA and walked up to the big iron gates. 

You waited somewhat nervously for the students to finish for the day, eyes scanning the crowd as people steadily started streaming out.

You recognized a few of the UA students from TV and then you spotted the greenette who battled Shinsou and you ran over to him. 

“Hey!! Hey! Umm… Midurian? Midoriyama?” You mentally face palmed. “Fuck! What was his name again???” 

The greenette heard you trying to call his name and stopped to look at you as you ran towards him.

“Hey! I’m so sorry I forgot your name!” You said slightly breathlessly from your brief run. 

“Oh! It’s umm, M-Midoriya.” He replied with a bright yet nervous smile. 

“Midoriya! Of course! Umm, congratulations on winning the duel against the guy with indigo hair; Shinsou.” You said politely. “I watched the match at home and the live app didn’t have any information on him… what happened in that duel? Does he have some kind of mind control quirk?” You asked, not wasting any time trying to glean as much information as you possibly could about your male interest. 

“Oh! Thank you, umm yes his quirk is called Brainwash and it’s activated when you reply to him. If he asks a question or makes a comment then activates it, the minute you reply, he can suggest anything to you and your body will respond even if you don’t want it to.” Midoriya replied brightly. “It’s a really amazing quirk! I didn’t know all that at the time of our battle, of course, otherwise I wouldn’t have replied him.” 

“Ahh, I see.” You said, “well I think his quirk is amazing too!” You fangirled. “Is, is he here today?” You asked, looking around to see if you could spot the indigo guy.

“I think so?” Midoriya replied, “but he’s not in my class so I don’t know where he would be?” 

“Oh? Is he in the other hero class then?” You asked curiously.

“No, he’s in general studies actually.” Midoriya said. “He really wants to become a hero though so I’ve heard rumours that he might be moving to the hero course.”

“Oh wow! I hope he gets in then.” You replied happily. “I was really hoping to meet him today and give him some encouragement but looks like today is not my day.” You said sadly, trying to hide your disappointment with a smile.

“Maybe you’ll see him next time?” Midoriya said. “If I see him tomorrow I can pass on a message for you, if you like?” 

“Oh yes please!” You said excitedly. “My name is Y/N, just tell him I think he’s cool and I love his quirk!” 

“Ok, Y/N, I’ll do that for you.” Midoriya said with a smile. “I need to go now but it was nice meeting you.”

“You too Midoriya.” You said with a smile. “All the best with becoming a hero!” 

“Thank you!” He replied before jogging off. 

“Bummer that I missed out on seeing Shinsou… I wonder how F/N went with explosion boy?” You thought as you turned around to look for her.

“And THEN he called me an EXTRA!?” F/N said angrily as you walked home together. 

You burst out laughing. “Seriously?!”

“YES SERIOUSLY!! The nerve of the guy!” She huffed. “But I got to talk to his two friends who were super nice! Spikey red head with sharp teeth and flirty blonde with the black lightening bolt in his hair.” She said.

“Ahhhh yeah I think I remember them.” You mused. “So what? You changed your mind about explosion daddy?” 

“Well flirty pikachu knock off was super keen on me and he’s kinda cute.” She replied with a devious smirk. 

“Why is he a pikachu knock off?” You asked with a laugh. 

“His quirk is electrification,” she replied, “and he looks like a pikachu but in human form.” 

“Pika daddy, I choose you.” You commented.

“Exactly.” She replied. “Oh and hey! I know you didn’t get to meet mind control babey but I got some REALLY juicy info on him!” She said excitedly with a mischievous smirk. “You will NEVER guess what it is…”

“I give up already.” You said immediately. “Tell me, tell me!!” 

“His favourite animal …. is cats.”

“SHUT. UP!” 

“No I’m serious!” 

“No FUCKING way!” 

“Y/N, I’m dead serious right now.” 

“NO!” You laughed with overwhelming excitement. “You’re lying! God! Does he really?! Please don’t be messing with me!” 

“I am super serious right now,” your friend promised. “Kaminari – Pikachu daddy- , told me! He’s friends with Shinsou apparently and he told me that Shinsou loves cats.”

“OH MY GOD THIS IS PERFECT!!!” You screeched, jumping up and down as you yelled. 

“So what are you gonna do???” Your friend asked. “You have the perfect opportunity to get close to him!” 

“I….I dunno!? I’ll think about it but like… this is amazing!” You squealed, hugging your friend. 

“Ok, ok, you’re welcome.” She laughed. “If you need any help I’m always here yeah? We can do the whole, ‘please help me my cat is stuck in a tree’ thing again if you like?”

You shuddered. “Yeah nah, the last time we did that, that guy did NOT know how to handle cats. I’m not doing that one again!” 

“Ok.” She laughed. “Well whatever you come up with, I support it 100%.”

“Eek!” You squealed. “I love you!!” 

“I know, I know.” She laughed.
