“Of course! Your mum is the baddest of them all,” he said with a grin as she entered the room- a very clever segway into another topic so that he and Jinny’s secret conversation about the mission wouldn’t be uncovered.
“Anyway, I gotta go! Bye dad, bye mum!” Jinny said quickly before running for the door.
“What was all that about?” Mrs Kirishima asked her husband, as he pulled her in for a hug then kissed her on the cheek.
“Secret hero stuff,” he replied with a wink.
“Ohhh, I see,” she hummed with a giggle, allowing him to wrap his strong arms around her and snuggle his head into her neck.
“Dad!” Chi hollered down the hallway, “I’m going!”
“Don’t fuck up!” his dad yelled back.
“As if I would!” Chi shouted in reply.
“That’s my boy.”
“Dad?” Soshi asked as he poked his head into the study, his orange eyes finding the chair next to the desk that his father always sat in.
“Yes?” Shouto asked, turning in his chair and looking at his son.
“Uh, I’m going now. It’s the daytoday.”
Shouto nodded, “keep your wits about you.”
“Ok, dad,” Soshi replied before turning and walking away from the room, heading for the front door and off for the day.
Amazingly, Hiyoko made it to the agency before anyone else arrived and he dropped down onto the roof the sprinted for the stairs that led to his level.
“Did I make it in time?” he asked himself as he rounded the corner and didn’t see anyone standing outside his office door, “oh thank god, I’m early.”
He slowed his run to a jog then stopped at his door and unlocked it- letting himself inside and flicking the lights on.
“Ohhh, hayyy Nuggie!” Brian’s bright voice greeted through the doorway as he entered shortly after his nephew.
“Bri!” Hiyoko greeted with a big smile as he turned around to face his uncle.
As they embraced, Jasmine walked in- dragging her massive make up kit and a rack of clothes.
“Are these for the interns?” Hiyoko queried, walking over to see the set.
“Oh, not all of them, sweetbuns, god that would look a mess if they wore all of those clothes! Mercy!” Brian said emphatically as he waved his hand around in an erratic manner, “no, boo boo, I bought all of these clothes just in case we needed to do a little swapsie-poo’s at the last minute.”
Hiyoko raised his pierced eyebrow but didn’t say any more.
And it’s a good thing the room was silent at that point because that’s when the students arrived.
“Hi everyone!” Jinny greeted the room of people.
“Oh, sugar, I’m so happy to see you!” Brian gushed, “come here give Bri a proper hello!”
She grinned and walked over, letting Bri give her a flamboyant hug then chant some affirmations around her.
“Love and light- lift this queen and set her on the higher ground, amen!” he sung softly, flicking his hands out before clapping them together to signal the end of the ritual.
“Thanks, Bri, I’m so excited for today,” Jinny squealed.
“Oh I am too, hunny-buns,” Brian replied, “now. Let me bless these boys!”
He did a similar ritual for both Soshi and Chi then let them go.
“Yoko, would you prefer us to set up in the debrief room?” Jasmine asked Hiyoko.
“Yeah. That might be good,” Hiyoko replied, “Kana and I will be doing some work in here, so we’ll need a bit of quiet.”
Jasmine nodded and Brian gave Hiyoko a leering look.
“What?” Hiyoko asked in a soft voice when he saw the look his uncle had given him.
“Oh nothing, honey baby, you just keep shining,” Brian said before turning his attention back to the students and clapping his hands to get their attention, “ok babies, let’s tippy toe down the hall and start getting you all ready for a big day today! So much fun, ah!”
He quickly ushered the students and Jasmine out into the hall then off down to the debriefing room and Hiyoko was left in his office.
“What a whirlwind morning.” He reached up into his hair and scrubbed it then dragged his fingers down the front of his face and around the the back of his neck and tilted his head up to the ceiling, “good thing it’s Friday and we have the weekend to relax. I guess today will be easy with the interns at Rarefind. Maybe I should take Kana out for dinner tonight… then maybe back to my place…”
He smirked then dropped his head back to neutral and sat back on the edge of the desk.
“Guess I better get a little work done before Kana gets here.”
In the briefing room things had already gotten underway and Jinny was in the change room, putting on her disguise outfit.
“Ooooh,” she hummed softly as she pulled on the ripped jeans and sequence top then reached for the pink wig to put it on her head, “hey, I look pretty hot!”
She turned left and right to check herself out in the mirror then stepped out for Brian to see.
“What do you think, Bri?” she asked, doing a spin.
Chi’s eyes immediately glossed her over from where he was sitting on the make up stool getting his face detailed by Jasmine.
“Fuck. She looks good,” he thoughtas he stared at her.
“Bakugou, honey,” Jasmine said in her deep voice, “please look over here.”
Chi quickly looked back at Jasmine and she applied a bit of make up to his face and some eyeliner to his eyes.
He could hear the others talking about Jimmy’s outfit in the distance and he desperately wanted to look over again but his face was being held very firmly by Jasmine.
“Chi?” Jinny called as she skipped over, “do you like the outfit?”
“Yeah. It’s ok,” he replied.
“Oh wow, Chi!” Jinny gasped, getting closer to his face, “the eyeliner really brings out your eyes…”
They looked deeply into each other’s eyes for a few seconds before Jinny looked away and cleared her throat.
“I’m getting my make up done next,” Soshi announced, noticing that Chi seemed to be getting extra attention because he had make up on.
“You’re gonna look so cool,” Jinny gushed to Soshi.
“Todoroki, honey, come and get your clothes on,” Brian called, “I’ve hung it all up for you.”
Soshi looked over at him and nodded then walked into the change room and started to get into his disguise clothes.
“Ugh, I can’t wait for tonight!” Brian suddenly announced loudly.
“What’s tonight?” Jinny asked curiously.
“It’s my and my husband’s wedding anniversary!” Bri replied excitedly.
