BNHA Second Generation Chapter 33: Connected

Finally back inside the agency building, Kana and Hiyoko had a chance to talk.

“I’m so sorry, Kana,” Hiyoko said as he entered his office, the soft light from his desk lamp the only sign that people were there.

“Why are you apologizing?” Kana signed.

“Just… everything… about tonight. I just, I hadn’t really even thought about my feelings for you, so it took me by surprise when you told me you liked me… and then the people filming us…”

“I am just happy that you and I are together now,” Kana signed with a bashful smile, “my heart is happy.”

“Mine too, I feel like a weight has been lifted,” Hiyoko replied with an internal chuckle, “I asked the people that were filming us if they would delete the footage but I don’t know if all of them did. I’m just warning you that if it makes the news…”

“I understand,” Kana signed with an apologetic look on his face, “we will work it out together.”

“We always do,” Hiyoko replied with a smile, the pair standing there smiling at each other for a bit before Hiyoko cleared his throat and scratched the back of his head shyly, “ah, so uh, anyway… the mission…”

“I forgot about the mission,” Kana signed with a cheeky tongue poking out.

“Cheeky,” Hiyoko teased, walking to his desk to pull some papers out, “I’ve been wondering if maybe these instances have a connection?”

“How?” Kana signed, questioningly. 

“Well… I haven’t looked  into it yet, obviously, but the three stores that have been targeted so far… is there some kind of … thing… that links them? Are they all owned by the same person? Is this a personal vendetta? Are they all in once similar area? I dunno… just questions I have swirling around in my mind…”

“Give me the names of the stores,” Kana signed, walking around to sit in Hiyoko’s seat and pulling the laptop closer.

“Are you allowed to be sitting in my chair?” Hiyoko teased Kana.

“Want to sit on my lap?” Kana signed back with a flirtatious wink.

Hiyoko blushed furiously at the sudden flirting and let out a flustered cough while Kana smirked proudly.

“Who taught you these lines?” Hiyoko asked, avoiding eye contact as he hung his head.

“Brian,” Kana signed as Hiyoko lifted his head to look at him.

“Should have known,” Hiyoko replied with amusement, “anyway, Mr flirt, here are the names of the stores.”

He quickly flicked through the papers in hand and found the names, reading each in his mind so that Kana could look them up online.

“Ok, first is Destiny Diamonds… second is… L/N-su store… then the most recent was at timeless&flawless…”

Kana typed all the names in in separate tabs on the computer then scanned each one over briefly, smacking his fist down into his palm with delight.

“I know!” he signed.

“Is there a connection?” Hiyoko asked as he rounded the desk to look over Kana’s shoulder at the screen.

“All owned by the same person,” Kana signed.

“How convenient for us,” Hiyoko mused, his head close to Kana’s.

While Hiyoko was momentarily distracted by their proximity, Kana clicked on the name of the person who owned all the stores. 

“Interesting,” Kana signed, “look, Hiyoko.”

“Hmm? What is it?” Hiyoko asked, refocusing on the screen.

“He,” Kana signed, pointing to the man on screen, “has another store.” 

“Really? Where? What’s the name?” Hiyoko asked.

“Rarefind,” Kana signed.

“Guess it’s obvious where the next robbery is going to take place… but when? That’s the question.”

“Tomorrow, we will talk to the owner…” Kana signed, looking at the screen, “his name is Hima Dofu…”

“Sounds good to me. We can work on it tomorrow. It’s late now, we should head home,” Hiyoko said, pulling his head back and standing straight as Kana stood up beside him and looked at him.

The pair smiled at each other and Kana went to walk past Hiyoko and around the desk to leave but Hiyoko put his hand out and stopped his partner from passing, his hand landing on Kana’s prominent hip bone.

Kana looked down at Hiyoko’s hand then up into the handsome winged hero’s face, wondering why he had been stopped.

“Would it be too presumptuous to ask for a kiss?” Hiyoko asked bashfully, looking away as he scratched his cheek shyly.

Kana smirked and turned quickly, placing both hands on Hiyoko’s chest and pushing him firmly back until his back and wings hit the wall at the back of the room.

“Wh… what’s this?” Hiyoko asked as he allowed himself to kabedonned against the wall.

“Cute,” Kana signed with one hand, placing his index finger and middle finger on his chin with thumb out then pulling his hand down and pulling his fingers to his palm. 

Hiyoko blushed.

There was a moments pause before Kana slowly leaned forwards and pressed his lips to Hiyoko’s, the pair enjoying the feeling of their lips touching briefly before Kana pulled back.

“Well… uh… that was nice,” Hiyoko said with a small embarrassed chuckle, “I don’t really know what to say?”

In response to his comment, Kana leaned back in again and the pair kissed again, a little more confidently this time. 

As they parted then kissed again, Hiyoko placed his hands on Kana’s hips, pulling the shorter male closer then wrapped his wings forward and around them both, caging their bodies while they enjoyed the intimacy.

Unintentionally, Hiyoko hummed softly with approval through his feather and Kana took his hand from Hiyoko’s chest then wrapped both arms up and around the winged heroes neck, parting his lips a little more so that they could kiss a little deeper.

“W-We should probably not, uh…” Hiyoko’s words were lost in the kiss, trying not to let himself get too involved just in case things escalated but Kana’s kiss was intoxicating.

Bolder they got, Kana’s tongue touched Hiyoko’s at one point and a surge of excitement shot through the winged heroes veins, making him pull back with a blush.

“S-Sorry Kana, I don’t want to get too excited,” Hiyoko apologized as he looked away a bit.

“It’s fine,” Kana replied in sign once he let go of Hiyoko’s neck.

The winged one smiled and unwrapped his wings from behind Kana as the sensing hero stepped back.

“I’ll go home now, see you tomorrow,” Kana signed with a wink.

“Yeah…” Hiyoko replied, “see you…”

The sensing hero left, leaving Hiyoko back first against his office wall, still blushing and dazed by his first kiss.

“Well this has been an eventful start to the week…” he thought, pulling his phone from his pocket and hitting the home screen, “I know it’s late but I guess I should ring Mum and tell her about Kana and I…”

Dialing his mum quickly he put the phone to his ear.

“Hi mum…” he greeted when she had picked up, “I uh… I have some news…”
