Best Summer Ever Chapter 32: Best Summer Ever

They chatted a little longer, then Kami said goodbye. Kiri suspected their conversation ended because of Kami getting a message as he heard the tapping of Kami’s fingers on his phone as the conversation became disjointed. 

Kiri smiled at his phone as he put it down.

 “I wish the best for them.” He sighed happily.

He thought back to when he had first met Bakugou and those first few unknown days, it was all so fun and exciting, chasing such a hot guy. But having him now, he was the happiest he’d ever been. 

Summer break was rapidly drawing to an end and he sighed heavily, what was going to happen once they were back at school? Bakugou went to a different school so they wouldn’t get to see each other as much and that made him sad. 

He rolled onto his side and opened his phone, flicking through pictures of his and Bakugou’s time together. 

“Back to school in a week and a bit.” Bakugou suddenly texted. 

Kiri smiled. 

“Must be on the same wavelength.” He thought.”Yeah… sucks.” He replied. 

“We’ll still see each other, yeah? After school and all..” Bakugou asked. 

“Awww, this tsundere needy baby.” Kiri gushed internally. “Of course Kitty-Kat.” He responded. 

All he got was the rude finger emoji and a- I told you not to call me that- reply. 

He chuckled. He loved this guy so much. 

The next week and a bit, Bakugou and Kiri were even more inseparable than before, talking about how they would meet up each day after school and where they would go. 

Kami and Shin spent a lot of time together too, catching up on lost time and discussing their feelings. 

It was clear that Shin had some deep seated abandonment issues and Kami offered his full support and encouragement, gently coaxing Shin to see someone about it. 

Before they all knew it school had started again. 

“Hey Shin!” Kiri called as his purple haired classmate turned up at the classroom doors. “You enjoy your break?” 

Shinsou smirked. “You know it dude,” he said walking in and giving Kiri a fist bump. “You?” 

“Of course, dude, seeing my Kat after school today too.” Kiri replied with a giant toothy grin. 

“I’m seeing Kami too!” Shin replied with a grin and a rub to the back of his neck. “It’s been great having him back.” 

“I know, dude. I know.” Kiri laughed. “You look brighter too since he contacted you.” 

Just then the teacher walked in and the mundane school routine started all over again for that next term. 

The day dragged by and Kiri couldn’t wait to get out and see Bakugou.

Finally the last school bell rang and he was out Of there like a rocket, tearing off down the halls and out the front door. 

Bakugou was already there, propped up against the brick wall, hands in pocket, one foot up against the wall, scowling at the ground- the picture of perfection in Kiri’s eyes. 

“Hey Kat!” Kiri called out as he ran towards his blond boyfriend, his heart pounding in his chest. Bakugou looked hot as fuck in uniform and Kiri couldn’t help but swell with pride as he approached his man. 

“Hey baby.” Bakugou said lowly as Kiri threw himself into Bakugou’s arms, kissing his redhead on the neck as he spun him around. 

“I’m SO glad school is over, that was the longest day ever!” Kiri said dramatically. 

“You’re an egg, you know that.” Bakugou smirked and turned to walk out with his man. 

“Wait, where’s Kami? Aren’t he and Shin catching up too?” Kiri asked suddenly, looking around. 

“Yeah, he’s here, he’s hiding, like the idiot he is.” Bakugou snorted. 

Suddenly there was a yell behind the two boys and they turned to look. Kami had hidden in the bushes nearby and had launched onto Shin’s back when the purple haired guy had gotten close enough. 

“ONWARD MY NOBLE STEED!” Kami hollered as Shin tried to dislodge him. 

“I’M NOT YOUR FUCKING HORSE! GET OFF!” Shin laughed.

“THAT’S THE ONLY WAY YOU’LL EVER GET TO TOP HIM KAMI! GIT IT YA BASTARD!” Bakugou yelled out, cupping his mouth to project the sound further. 

“SHUT UP, DUDE, IT’S NOT LIKE THAT!” Kami yelled back as Shin managed to shake him off and tackle him to the ground. 

There was a struggle between the two boys as Shin tried to pin Kami down, both of them laughing hysterically. 

“Hopeless.” Kiri chuckled as he and Bakugou turned to leave. 

“Man, what a break that was , hey? I hate being back at school.” Kiri said sadly. 

“Yeah.” Bakugou grunted. 

“You know what, I have to say… that was the best summer ever.” Kiri said with a smile. 

“You know what would keep it as hot the summer we just had?” Bakugou asked with a sly grin. 

“What’s that Kat?” Kiri asked with curiousity. 

“A kiss.” Bakugou replied, dragging Kiri into an alleyway and pinning him up against the wall. 

“I’ve been waiting all day to get my lips on yours.” Kiri said lowly with a smirk as he leaned in and kissed his man, his body still up against the wall. 

“Summer may have ended but we can still bring the heat.” Bakugou smirked as he leaned in and kissed Kiri back. 

Flashbacks of when they first laid eyes on each other came to their minds as they embraced. 

It really had been the best summer ever.
