Best Summer Ever Chapter 27: Fun And Games

“So! What we wanna do?” Kiri asked the group brightly looking around at his friends.

“How about bowling!” Mina cried.

“Done.” Bakugou grunted. He was good at bowling and wanted to prove he was the best because well, Bakugou.

“Sounds like fun.” Kami said, looking at Shinsou and nodding. 

Shin just shrugged. “I’m down.” 

It was decided, so the group set off to the bowling alley. 

Bowling shoes were put on and names were entered into the machine, there was an 8 character limit so they had to think carefully. 

Murderer – Bakugou 

RedRiot – Kirishima 

FcknQuin – Mina 

Whatever – Jirou 

BeatYa – Shinsou

“Beatya? The fuck is that supposed to mean?” Bakugou laughed. “Beat ya own meat, ya loser?” 

Kiri had to jump in and hold his boyfriend back while Kami pulled Shinsou away. There was definitely some testosterone pumping between these two males. 

While Kaminari was preoccupied, Bakugou leaned over and entered the blond’s name into the machine. 

Gay4Shin

Kaminari heard Bakugou’s manic laughter and turned to look at him, following his gaze to the screen and going a bright shade of pink. 

“Bro! Take it down!” He hissed frantically.

“We’re using names that described us best.” Bakugou leered. 

“Should never have fucking told you.” Kami growled. 

“Don’t worry, bro, we’re tight, it’s cool, don’t worry about it.” Shin said with a pat to Kami’s shoulder.

Mina smirked. She shipped it hard and high-fived Bakugou on the sly as he came up to her. 

“Fucking awesome.” She giggled. 

The game started with Bakugou absolutely pegging the ball at the pins (like a shotput) while screaming ‘DIE’ 

Cue 10 minute lecture from the alley supervisor. 

Kiri went next and got a strike, followed by Mina and Jirou who used the side rails up but still managed to miss the entire lot of pins with Mina’s bouncing off the sides like it were a pinball machine. 

“Can anyone here beside Kiri actually bowl?” Shin quipped cheekily. 

Bakugou bristled for 2 reasons. Shin obviously had a soft side for Kiri and put him on a pedestal AND he just hinted that he thought Bakugou’s bowling skills were crap. 

“Let me have a go!” Kami said after Shin bowled a perfect line, complete with perfect form too. 

“Here, I’ll help you.” Shin said picking up a ball and handing it to Kami, giving him some instructions on how to hold the ball while getting behind the blond with his arms wrapped around him to show him how to line the ball up. 

Mina nudged Bakugou and smirked. 

“Gay for Shin indeed.” She whisper leered, watching just how close the two boys were. 

Kami got a clean strike and whooped in delight, double high-fiving Shin and hugging him. It just felt so right to be back with him. 

Mina and Bakugou were chatting while it was the others turn to bowl and the topic of pet names came up. 

“You got a pet name for your boyfriend?” She asked, nodding towards where Kiri was lining himself up to take down the next round of pins. 

“Nah.” Bakugou said, leaning back and slinging an arm across the empty seat beside him. “Pet name are lame.” 

“Oh really now? Mina asked skeptically. “What do you call a newborn, human child?” 

“Baby.” Bakugou said gruffly. 

“Yeah Kitty-Kat?” Kiri said turning around to look at Bakugou. 

Mina just glared at Bakugou, who was blushing deeply by now. 

“Don’t ever lie to my face again.” She said, deadpanning. 

Bakugou just slunk down in his seat with a ‘tch’ 

By the end of their time there Bakugou had won, aggressively yes, but he had still won closely followed by Kiri then Shinsou, Kami, Mina then Jirou. (A/N: I feel like everyone would have their own winners rankings but this is mine ;))

“You guy still wanna do something together?” Kami asked as they all left the bowling alley. 

“I’m easy.” Mina said. 

Bakugou was eager to get Kiri alone by now and Shinsou was wanting a little alone time with Kaminari too but neither Bakugou nor Shinsou wanted to be the first to call it a day. 

“Let’s check out the pet store!” Mina squealed, “Jirou, can we get a puppy?” She asked with soppy, pleading eyes. 

“No.” Jirou said flatly, “you’ll feed it and look after it for one week then I’ll be stuck doing it for the rest of my life.” 

“Awwwww, no fun.” Mina pouted as they headed to the store but the fact that Jirou had said ‘for the rest of my life’ had her melting with love inside. 

They arrived at the pet store and Mina and Kiri squished their noses up against the glass, awwing and fawning over the puppies and kittens. 

“Oh look Kat! Baby birdies! Aren’t they cute?!” Kiri gushed, pointing to some 4 week old parrots in a cage near the door. 

“The fuck?” Bakugou snorted. “No, they’re not fucking cute they look like scrotums with bones in them.” 

Kaminari, who had ordered his second round of boba tea on the way there, had just taken a mouthful as Bakugou spoke and the tea came projecting straight out of his nose and mouth, all over Kiri and Bakugou. 

He coughed and choked on his laughter as Bakugou swore at him, wiping dregs of tea off his face and shirt. 

“You ok, dude?” Shin asked Kami sympathetically, holding his drink for him while the blond doubled over in laughter, clutching his sides as the belly laughs racked his body. 

When Kami has settled down, Shin trotted off to get wipes for Kiri and Kami… he could have cared less about Bakugou.

Shortly after that, Bakugou said goodbye to the group and dragged Kiri off, he had had enough people for one day and just wanted to be alone with his boyfriend. 

Mina and Jirou said they needed to do something too which left Kami and Shin together, much to Shinsou’s delight. 

“You wanna see a movie or something?” Shinsou asked as they walked along. 

“Actually, I needed to get some new jeans?” Kami said. “Wanna shop with me?” 

“Of course, dude!” Shin replied, “where you wanna go?” 

“Where do you suggest?” Kami asked, “your fashion sense is on point. I’ll take your lead.” 

Shin chuckled. “Thanks dude, come with me then.” He said, taking Kami’s hand briefly to pull him in the direction of one of his favourite stores. 

“Oh these look Gucci as fuck!” Kami said as Shin handed him a pair of sleek looking skinny jeans. 

“Try them!” Shin said, ushering Kami to the change rooms.
