“Sorry?” Kiri asked, tearing his eyes away from Bakugou’s to look at Kaminari behind. “OH! TICKETS!! Yes! Yes… 2 tickets.” The panic was obvious as he quickly tried to regain his composure.
Fumbling his way through the process, he finally got all the steps completed and handed Bakugou the tickets, who took them and put them in his pocket.
“Have a good fun.” Kiri said brightly, mixing up his words.
“Wait! Hold up! Bakugou, you haven’t even paid the guy yet!” Kami laughed from the back.
Bakugou was still staring at Kiri and hadn’t registered any of the conversation.
“What?” He asked finally, realizing that words had been spoken, presumably to him, and he hadn’t replied them. He pull his gaze away from Kirishima’s and looked back at Kami, then remembered what had been said. “Oh! Payment.”
Kami watched with amusement as the awkward interaction continued between the two guys, then followed Bakugou through the gate to the other side.
“Far out that ticket guy was cute as hell!” Bakugou thought as he turned his head back to look over his shoulder to where they had just come through the gates.
He blushed immediately and spun his head back away when he realized the cute redhead was leaning out the ticket window, watching him walk away.
“Man, I wish I got his name.” He thought again.
“Hey!! MINA!!” Kami called suddenly from behind Bakugou, making the spikey blond jump.
“What the hell, dude?!” Bakugou barked at him. “Why did you have to yell so loud?!”
“Oh, sorry, did I snap you out of a little daydream, did I?” Kami leered at him, a wry smiled pulling at his lips.
“What?! No?!” Bakugou snapped back, turning his face away so Kami couldn’t see the blush that was forming.
“Hey boys!!” Mina called as Bakugou and Kami got closer. “Leave your stuff here and let’s swim!” She jumped up off the towel that was spread out on the grassed area and danced around excitedly.
“You guys go. I’ll watch your stupid bags and stuff.” Bakugou mumbled with a scowl. “Someone has to stay here otherwise your shit’ll get stolen.”
Kami grinned. “Ok, thanks dude, then we can swap and you can swim.”
“Nah. I’m good.” Bakugou said stiffly as he plopped down on the towel.
Kami eyed him but didn’t say anymore as he let Mina drag him towards the pool.
Bakugou was still thinking about the cute ticket guy and kept stealing glances at the booth but would only see snippets of either a hand or red hair as the guy continued to work.
“Wonder if he’s gay?” Bakugou thought as he looked back over to where Kami and Mina were having a blast.
He had come out a year ago and was happy in himself but he had never had a boyfriend before. Sure he had had crushes, but nothing serious. He hadn’t even kissed a guy before!
……………
“Did you see that guy?” Kiri gasped as Kami and Baku left the booth and walked into the pool area.
“Which one? They were both pretty cute.” Ochako chuckled.
“Spikey blond.” Kiri said as he poked his head out the ticket window to catch one last glimpse, quickly retracting his head when his gawking stare was met with Bakugou’s curious glance as the spikey blond looked back towards the ticket gate.
“He just saw me.” Kiri gasped as he stumbled back against Ochako.
“Woah!” She laughed. “Are you ok??? You’re like a love struck puppy!”
“Man, he’s just…gorgeous,” Kiri gushed. “Looks pretty manly too, that jawline…”
“I’m guess you’re gay, hun?” Ochako chuckled.
“Oh yeah! Very!” Kiri said with a laugh. “What about you?”
“Bi actually, so I can appreciate both sides of the coin ya know?” Ochako replied with a wink. “Currently have a girlfriend though, she’s amazing.”
“That’s so cute! What’s her name?” Kiri asked.
“Tsuyu Asui. But I call her froppy.” Ochako said with a giggle. “You got a boyfriend?”
“Nah, I’m single pringle at the moment but I am crushing haaard on that hella cute blond.” Kiri said, half glancing out the window again.
“Go talk to him on your break then!” Ochako encouraged with a bright smile.
“What?!” Kiri yelped. “I can’t just go up and talk to him?!”
“Why not?!” Ochako asked with a cute little wrinkle of her nose.
“But what if he’s not gay?!” Kiri wailed.
“Ok, hun, one thing at a time, hey? Just go and say hi and make small talk then we can figure out if he’s gay later.” She said with a wink.
“Ugh. Man, I’m so not good with these things, hey. I’m hella gay but never really had a boyfriend before. I’ve kissed guys but it’s never been serious… but man… I would boyfriend the hell out of him!” Kiri said, sneaking another peak out the window. “Please be gayyyy.” He whispered into the wind.
Ochako laughed. “You are just too cute for words, Kiri! Don’t worry, I am legit already shipping you two so I’ll wingwoman for you in any way I can.”
“Really?!” Kiri gasped excitedly. “Thank you so much! If we get married I’m naming my first born child after you.”
Ochako burst out laughing. “Ok ok, listen, chill with the wedding bells. We don’t even have a name yet.”
“It start with B something!” Kiri said excitedly, the other blond with the black streak in his hair said it before, but I didn’t quite catch it.
“Well ya better go catch it on your break, Kiri.” Ochako said with crossed arms and her hip popped out to the side, a devilish smile pulling at her lips. “If you don’t come back with a name by the end of today I’m not wingwoman-ing you.”
“Awwww, no fair.” Kiri pouted. “Ok, ok, I’ll get it.”
……….…………………….
Kiri’s lunch break rolled around and he mulled over how to approach the cute, spikey haired blond, to ask his name, while he put some things away in his locker.
Pulling out his wallet, he walked back out to the on-site cafe to order some food and glanced around to find his hella cute target but to his absolute dismay the cute blond and his friends had gone.
Kiri was crestfallen. He had missed his chance and he may never see that guy again.
“Hey, why so glum?” Ochako asked upon seeing Kiri’s face a little later that afternoon.
“Cutie has left already.” he said sadly.
“Ohhhh.” Ochako whined in sympathy. “Don’t worry, we can always find you another cutie, ok?”
Kiri nodded sadly. “Yeah, ok.”
