After Midoriya and Kiri had gotten their food the group moved on to the first activity.
“Oh! That belt with the red ‘R’ in the middle is amazing.” Kiri commented as he and Bakugou passed a plastic rifle shooting range.
“I’ll win it for you.” Bakugou said without hesitation, walking up to the stall and placing some coins down on the bench top with an overconfident smirk on his face. “One rifle, one round.”
“Let’s see if you can put your money where your mouth is, my good man.” The attendant replied, pocketing the money with a sly grin and handing the rifle across to Bakugou.
Bakugou eyed the rifle from a few different angles before handing it back. “Give me the one that shoots straight.” He said lowly with a snarl in his words.
“I don’t know what you’re ta—.”
“Don’t. Fuck. With me.” Bakugou growled threateningly. “If you know what’s best for you, you’ll hand over the better rifle.”
The attend shut up and handed Bakugou a different rifle and the knowing blond checked it over then nodded as he raised it to his shoulder.
Ducking his eye behind the sight, he took aim and hit the target square on.
Kiri and the attendant’s jaws both fell to the floor as Bakugou casually pulled the gun down from his shoulder and handed it back to the astonished stall owner.
“The belt with the red ‘R’ on it.” Bakugou said gruffly, not missing a beat, with a chin jerk at the prize hanging from the prize bar.
The attendant nodded numbly and pulled it down.
Bakugou took it and handed it straight to Kiri who was still standing there in sparkly eyed shock at his beau’s crack shot.
“That was amazing!” The enamored redhead gushed as he put the belt on. “The most manliest thing I’ve ever seen!”
Bakugou smirked. “Meh, whatever,” he shrugged, “Anything to see my man happy.”
This made Kiri blush even harder. Bakugou was being just too cute and super manly for words right now.
Ochako and Tsuyu had stopped to watch Bakugou show off but Todoroki and Midoriya had headed on to the rides section.
“Would you accompany me on the Ferris wheel?” Todoroki asked politely in a low tone to Midoriya.
“Oh! Yes Sho. I would love to! It’s really an amazingly built piece of work, so many intricate parts needed to be put together to have it function properly.” Midoriya replied.
Shouto Todoroki was used to Izuku Midoriya talking in depth about most things. He had a fascination with how things worked and although they were only in high school he could tell Midoriya would excel in any field he put his mind to because of his interest into the ‘nitty gritty’ of everything.
Sho smirked slightly and joined the excited little greenette in line.
“Hey guys! Are you going on the Ferris wheel?” Kiri called as he saw them line up.
“Yes! Want to come?” Midoriya asked as his eyes sparkled with excitement.
“Sure!” Kiri replied enthusiastically and trotted over with Bakugou following shortly behind.
They both ended up in the same carriage and no sooner had the ride started Todoroki reached over and took Midoriya’s hand in his.
The greenette blushed and snuggled in a little closer to his handsome, stoic man, enthralled with his touch.
Kiri saw and cleared his throat. “Hey, uh, Midoriya…how long have you and Todoroki been an item for?” He asked curiously.
“Oh! About a month now?” Midoriya replied with a grin. “Are uh…you and umm, Bakugou…” He hesitated…he was pretty sure they were an item because Ochako had mentioned it but they hadn’t been very affectionate.
“Oh!” Kiri said suddenly, catching on to Midoriya’s hesitation. “Yes! Yes, we’re together.” He said softly with a blush. “It’s our first date today.” He added glancing at Bakugou from the corner of his eye.
Bakugou was just listening quietly with that hard, almost scowl, on his face. He was mulling over something but Kiri couldn’t quite tell what it was yet.
“Oh, that’s wonderful!” Midoriya gushed, his fingers still interlaced with Todoroki’s.
Bakugou’s eyes shifted to where the couple sitting opposite were holding hands and he was silently admitting to himself that he also wanted to hold Kiri’s hand.
But how to do it without coming off as needy?
“Oi,” Bakugou said softly to Kiri, “hold this.”
“What is it you need me to ho—.”
Kiri looked over to Bakugou to see what it was the spikey blond needed and to his delight Bakugou was holding his hand out slightly in a gesture- asking Kiri to hold his hand.
Kiri looked up to Bakugou’s face but the blond was looking away, the red tips of his ears giving him away that he was, currently, blushing furiously.
To Bakugou’s elation, he felt Kiri’s soft warm palm against his as the cute redhead slid his hand into Bakugou’s and linked fingers.
The rest of the Ferris wheel ride saw both couples enjoying the view quietly, holding hands with their significant other.
As they got off at the end, Ochako and Tsuyu approached them. They had just been through the haunted house.
“Do not go through there. I almost died of a heart attack.” Ochako said with a horrified chuckle. “It’s terrifying.
“My Izu would not be afraid.” Todoroki said from behind the greenette. “I would be there to protect him.”
“Oh that’s super sweet Sho but I’m not really that keen to go in.” Modoriya said, giggling nervously.
“Ei wouldn’t be scared either.” Bakugou cut in quickly, feeling competitive with Todoroki. “I’m his man, nothing gets past me.”
Kiri blushed. “You’re so manly Katsu but I’m with Midoriya in this one…not super into haunted houses.”
Kiri glanced at Bakugou as he came to the end of his sentence and to his horror he saw that Bakugou and Todoroki were in the middle of a stare down.
It was almost as if he could see a wolf baring it’s teeth from behind Todoroki and a fox snarling from behind Bakugou.
“Oh hey, hey, now boys! Let’s not make this a competition.” Kiri said with a comical sweat drop look about him.
But it was too late. Both supposed Alpha males had definitely decided in a non verbal agreement to take their dates through the haunted house.
The reason? To prove who was the better protector.
Kiri and Midoriya gave each other a sympathetic look as they were ushered towards the derelict looking amusement, the screams of the tortured, fear stricken patrons inside NOT making it any more inviting.
