Saturday came and Kiri had arranged to meet Bakugou at a bus stop that was half way between their houses, then they would catch the bus together to the festival.
Kiri arrived first- 15 minutes early. He was just so keen to see Bakugou that he practically ran the whole way.
Bakugou wasn’t that much later than him and beamed when he saw the cute redhead waiting.
“Hey Baku!” Kiri called with a wave.
“Stop calling me that.” Bakugou said lowly as he approached Kiri.
“W-What do you mean?” Kiri asked, shocked and slightly saddened. Had he done something wrong?
“My first name is Katsuki…” Bakugou mumbled with a blush while avoiding eye contact.
Kiri blushed as well. “Can I call you by your first name?”
Bakugou nodded while still looking off to the side.
“Can I call you Katsu?” The red head asked shyly.
“Yeah…” Bakugou replied, “can I call you by your first name too?”
“Oh of course!” Kiri said emphatically. “It’s Eijirou.”
“Can I call you Ei?”
Kiri blushed and nodded. “Mmhmm.” He hummed happily.
Bakugou smirked, “it’s a cute name.”
“You think so?” Kiri gushed, “I like Katsu though, it’s such a manly name.”
Bakugou smirked again.
Just then the bus rolled up and Bakugou hopped on first, paying for both himself and Kiri and marching down the back of the bus proudly.
Kiri followed and sat down next to him on the soft fabric seat, chatting lightly as the bus bounced along towards their destination.
Kiri had turned side on and Bakugou still had his back to the backboard of the seat, tilting his head to talk to Kiri. His right hand was placed down on the seat, steadily making its way closer to where Kiri’s knee was hiked up a bit to assist with his side saddle posture.
At one particular bump in the road Bakugou slid his hand forward and it went underneath Kiri’s knee.
“Oh sorry.” Bakugou said with a mischievous grin as his eye’s locked with Kiri’s.
“Oh i-it’s ok.” Kiri chuckled. “You can put it on my knee if you like?” He added quietly.
“Might do that.” Bakugou breathed out softly as he lifted his hand out and placed it on Kiri’s knee, rubbing slightly.
The enamored redhead felt like a surge of electricity had just shot through him, an explosion of emotion, and suddenly he was on passionate fire for this guy as he reached his hand down and placed it on top of Bakugou’s
Turning his body back to forward facing he slid closer to Bakugou and interlaced his fingers with his new boyfriend’s.
Both boys were blushing madly now but really enjoying the feeling of their hands touching so neither pulled back.
“Is…is it ok if I hold your hand today? While we’re out at the festival?” Kiri asked shyly, “just asking first because I know some people don’t like PDA.”
“I’m not a huge PDA person but I do like a bit of sneaky hand holding every now and again.” Bakugou said with a wink. “But I…like holding your hand right now.”
“Same Katsu.” Kiri said as he turned his head and quickly kissed Bakugou on the shoulder.
The scowling blond was shocked by the little kiss to the shoulder but then gave a small smile before turning his head to look out the window…and also to to hide the smile that had now gone from small to giant and had spread across his face.
……….……………….
Ochako and her girlfriend, Tsuyu, were waiting at the festival gates with the other couple they had invited, Todoroki and Midoriya, when Bakugou and Kiri arrived.
“Hey boys!!” Ochako called cheerfully with a wave, “over here!”
Kiri smiled brightly and waved back, “Hey, Ochako! Thank you for inviting us!”
“Oh, you’re welcome, honey, here let me introduce you.” The bubbly brunette said, introducing first, her girlfriend, then introducing the males.
The first male to be introduced was Todoroki. He was a stunning guy!
He had an extremely unique look that added to his very cool, calm and collected vibe. With red and white hair, split directly down the middle he also sported 2 different coloured eyes. One blue and one a light grey.
He didn’t say much but you could tell he was reading into your very soul with those beautiful mismatched eyes.
“Nice to meet you.” Kiri said with a friendly smile.
Next Ochako introduced Midoriya who was just a ray of sunshine as far as Kiri was concerned. Their personalities were very similar and they clicked instantly.
Midoriya had the cutest little face dusted with adorable freckles that reached from cheek to cheek, running across the bridge of his nose.
He had green eyes to match the mop of green curly hair on his head, and his eyes sparkled when he spoke.
“I love how you’ve styled your hair!” Midoriya gushed to the friendly redhead.
“Oh, thank you!” Kiri said, touching his spikes. “The amount of hairspray in the morning kills my life but you know how it is.”
Midoriya giggled. “Mine is a little easier to contain, but I’d love to try spikes!”
“I think you’re perfect just the way you are.” Todoroki said in a deep, almost monotone voice from behind Midoriya.
The smaller boy blushed heavily and twisted a curly lock of hair in his fingers, tugging it down over his eyes.
“Oh…t-thank you, Sho.” He said shyly with a smile, turning to glance at his boyfriend.
Bakugou watched everyone interacting silently. It’s not that he didn’t like these people but it always took him a while to warm up and could come off as a bit grumpy or standoffish at first.
He was just happy to be with Kiri though, watching his own little ray of red sunshine having a good time made him happy and he didn’t care what happened today as long as he was with his boyfriend.
“So what do you boys wanna do first?” Ochako asked as they walked down the centre street, food stalls lining the outsides. “Wanna get food?”
“Sure!” Midoriya and Kiri squealed in unison.
“Food it is then.” Bakugou and Todoroki added in unison, throwing each other dubious looks.
It was apparent from the get go that the duel haired boy and the spikey blond just wanted their significant others to be happy.
